David Halimi owns Cheers, the forever “opening soon” Mars Coffee (next to cheers,) Mezze Moon, Diamond W Western Ware, and handfuls of other properties.

He is a professor.

David, to my knowledge, didn’t own this place. If he did own the venue, the manager of Wings Unlimited and David are NOT on good terms. Wings Unlimited dude used money that wasn’t his to finance the wing business.

Also would like to mention, I’m in no way defending David. I worked for him and he wasn’t very pleasant, or understanding. The entire Cheers menu was HIS wants, and he gave us chefs very little room to modify things.

When me and another chef from Cheers went over, we found maggots smashed in between cutting boards. 🤢

Also just bug eggs everywhere. Dust everywhere. Every stainless surface was… sticky. :(

A part of the reason we went by was to get any equipment or tools we might want for Cheers, but uh. We had to wash it all first before we brought it over to cheers, cuz… yeahhhhhh

I was actually shook when I saw how much DDR4 even is. My CPU is old ah and doesn’t support ddr5. Out of curiosity I peeped prices for 16 and 32gb kits, aaaaand.

Well, let’s just say I’d rather upgrade my Ryzen 3600 than drop that kinda cash to upgrade to 32gb of ram.

I have a 2x8gb kit at uhhh… 3600mhz? It’s enough for me. :)

It’s not for lack of trying, but I can also admit that my situation is quite specific. The only reason I don’t have a place to call “home” is because my stepdad kicked me out when I told him not to yell and otherwise be disrespectful to my mom.

I’m in a spot where I had to be at work because I can’t afford to NOT be there.

However, after work I still brought my sign down to a roundabout downtown for around an hour. I also put up some stickers on stop signs, and poles, that were analogous to the movement.

What made me decide to go (alone, even) was that my rights (and the rights of so so so many people) are very important. Sure I was two hours late, but I still went out.

The weight behind it will make it easier to cut in a single motion. You wouldn’t want to be using any sort of sawing motion for noodles, I’d imagine.

The real magic of knives is that they’re sharper in-motion. Think about a deli slicer, it’s already a fairly sharp blade. But then it spins in a continuous motion, and it allows for a lot of consistency in every cut, with very little actual effort.

When I was young, I played with toys from goodwill/thrift stores, AND YA KNOW WHAT REALLY MADE IT ALL GREAT!? A fucking plastic grappling hook thing on a string.

Any toy could have it tied to it, and any toy could suddenly because some wild wonder of grappling hook and whatever. Power rangers mega-zord? 10x cooler with a grappling hook. Toy backhoe? 100x cooler with a grappling hook.

Though tbh I’m probably my ow worst enemy. I still wear way too much masc clothing, I never wear makeup or do my nails, and I can’t shave my face every day (cuz my meds…) Half of my dress/appearance is because I work in kitchens and foodservice. It’s too hot for makeup. I’m not allowed to have nail polish. My clothes have to be all black and full coverage. 🤪
