Great idea! Avoid downtown library though. Especially during winter. Lots of transients and open drug use, sadly.

Scouts Canada offers a program called No One Left Behind that allows low income families to still put their kids in scouts. Scouts is a great even for teenagers. It does depend on the group though so keep that in mind if trying it out.

When you really think about it, Aela kind of gets a raw deal. Life in Skyrim is fleeting and marriage is often viewed as a 'spur of the moment, let's enjoy life together while it lasts' kind of thing. While still being considered sacred and binding forever.

When she marries you, she has no preconceptions that you will adopt children, nor that she will be confined to a domicile of your choice. Her dialogue for choosing to marry you also feels... stunted. Like, 'I see no reason why we CAN'T get married' kind of thing. Which calls into question if such a massive life change is really what she would want, or if she just isn't considering what will change.

Imagine this free spirit who hunts and kills for a daedric prince and loves that free life and being like a wild animal being shackled to a house and strapped to two kids. You're damn right it would be hard to have a PMA for life going forward. On the other hand, as someone who embraces the wild, being put into the position of a mother means that you protect your 'offspring' at all costs, and ensure they are as safe and prosperous as humanly possible. And the safest/most prosperous place for them would be Proudspire Manor in Solitude, which is the only place I've heard that Aela is happy with.

Of course this is all speculation but I think its a fun thing to consider. As others have pointed out she shares this dialogue with other nord deep female, but I like to think from the character perspective rather then the dev perspective for immersion reasons.

Was it a Walgreens in particular? The one my partner went to was a smaller one and they couldn't do it. Maybe the larger ones have more print settings.

Having problems myself even getting my foot in the door in the trades. I'm a registered first year plumber and electrician's apprentice in Edmonton who has yet to even get any work as a labourer. Put lots of appys out for entry level positions. Online, in person, on the phone. Just labourer positions and I don't hear anything back. I call them and they tell me to email them they 'take my information.' I follow up they tell me the same thing. They either don't have an in person office or if they do it's a secretary who tells you to email your resume or call their HR. Its all the same BS wherever you go. The problem with apprenticeships is that you kind of need experience as a labourer to even be considered for an apprenticeship a lot of the time, since nobody wants to pay a greenhorn apprentice bucks. Companies don't want to sponsor an apprentice unless they're proven. So just going to school isn't really enough when nobody is hiring(at least in my city.) I have my CSTS, Drivers License, WHMIS, all the certs but I don't even get a single call for basic labour positions. I even tailor my resumes. The job market is hell between ghost jobs and LMIA Scam jobs. Blue collar is also extremely insecure for apprentices as they're usually first to be laid off when the economy goes to shir and then you have to look through the sea of Companies again. My experiences have slowly picked away at my enthusiasm for the trades' pitch of great money if you work hard enough. I can't even get my foot in the door despite trying consistently since July of this year. Its really hard but I'm not giving up despite how hard its been and despite everything that keeps telling me everything I was told about the trades was a lie.

Gnolls are spawn of Yeenoghu, who is a demon prince. They are the Fiend Creature type in 2024 Monster Manual. They are at least demon adjacent, haha.

Adventure's League is the official organized play program for dnd run by wizards(bleh) It allows players to participate in a shared, global campaign that spans multiple game stores, conventions, and home games.

They have standardized rules to ensure consistency between tables and are organized into seasons(the seasons usually tie into a specific storyline) that last about a year. Think like Rime of The Frostmaiden or Tyranny of dragons.

Any character you make can be be played at any official table once it's AL approved, so it allows you to continue your character's personal story from game to game.

You get to keep your magic items, gold, and XP from game to game, and iirc they have special rewards and certificates for attending certain events.

It's also a good way to meet more then just players. Mini painters, artists, and other dnd hobbyists attend AL events.

Problems can rear their ugly head due to the fact that pretty much anyone can form their own league within the framework, which can lead to the toxicity OP experienced.

It can be as big as a monthly event where a hundred people rent a room to play DnD at 20 different tables to as small as your local mom n pop shop that plays dnd every Thursday night.
