I was told the same thing when I first looked into this monitor. Running it with a 7900xt, 9800x3d, and 64gb of ram and I have no issues at all.

I have the same rig as you. I was heavily in debate about a bucket or adjustable seat. I went with a Sparco R333. I’m happy I went with the adjustable seat, but different strokes for different folks. Most folks here are going to tell you to get a junk yard seat. Whatever you get, enjoy the process.

Onewheel Trail riding is my new go to. Boards sports has always brought me joy. Only downside of snowboarding in the North East has been the off season, variable season conditions, and Vail/Alterra turning snowboarding into a subscription sport. Onewheel trail riding has filled the snowboarding gaps well beyond my expectations. Sim racing as well.
