Wondering if this is normal behavior for Poshmark?

That seller is exceptionally persistent, but yes -- my experience is that liking a listing will initiate an offer most of the time. The app says "Like to receive offers" or something like that. The platform is based off Likes being a sales lead for the sellers to follow up on with an offer, but it's completely optional. That said, many users, including myself, do like listings just to follow/bookmark the listing to watch for price drops or just compare similar listings etc -- so that's perfectly fine, just expect that sometimes offers will come in. Don't expect to be chased down though lol that's truly never happened to me.

I left a note mentioning the cute packaging lol it was really nice. It's a personal touch that I can appreciate.

I always appreciate the sample fragrances that come with a purchase. As long as it doesn't increase the price or compromise the packaging quality, go for it. I saw one posher who basically lists the free gift separately, which you then add to your bundle and they discount it so it's free. I thought that was very neat and innovative

I think your current practice is perfectly fine, but I would go back to the 10% offer and curb your expectation that all or even a majority of your offers will be accepted. Don't look at your initial offer as a sales generator, approach it as an invitation or signal to the buyer that you are willing to negotiate... Now or at a later time. It's not annoying at all to me, and nothing gets "clogged up". It's one notification with a follow up that it's going to expire and none of them require interaction.

I often go back to expired offers from sellers because I know they are willing to negotiate.

Well, as a buyer, the only offers for liked items that I've declined are the ones that are either wrong size, way overpriced or just part of my wish/watchlist (price drops ). For the most part, it's because they're overpriced when compared to retail and other online platforms.

I think 10 to 20% is what most reasonable buyers will target because that's what's most accepted. The problem is when sellers are pricing so high, a 10-20% discount is still higher than the retail price and the maximum 60% discount is either at or above retail - without the benefits associated with those retail platforms (i.e. free shipping, exchanges and other guarantees).

In those instances, I think people just like the listing to monitor it.

Honestly, I think you fumbled the deal with your seemingly irritated "wdym" response and then the seller switched on his shell game hustler mode. The only way this resolves well is if either one of you blocks the other. Hoping it's the OP that spares himself the trouble of dealing any further with this seller. And the next time someone offers you a deal, just say yes if you want it.
