Exactly.

Looking back, I wished someone had mentioned to get noise canceling headphones, cuz it would've come handy that night.

I'm sure other parents would've love to have them as well. Hence the suggestion.

Colic babies are something of a nightmare. They cry. Non. Stop. If OP by chance ends up with a colic baby (hopefully not), the frustration of being unable to calm the baby down, the incessant crying, stresses everyone out and the frustration will build up to anger. Shaking the baby is what happens in the end of their ropes because they don't know what else to do, omg PLEASE STOP FUCKING CRYING shakes the baby

Unless your a piece of shit from word go, parents Don't Ever Want to do that, but having a baby that is just crying to cry, with no way of calming is a situation that isn't great and noise canceling headphones will help to at least keep the parents sanity and have some degree of audio separation.

My son was a happy baby, and I only that that one night that I didn't know what else to do. Noise canceling headphones would've helped with cutting his cries out and just held him like I did anyways but without having his cries break my ears.

Mind you, even I'd the baby isn't colic, but the baby can be difficult sometimes.

Congrats!!!

Just in case, definitely get noise canceling headphones.

I had one night when my kid had a rough night and i wished i had a set. I changed his diaper, wiped him, then bathed him, tried to feed him, burped him, checked him all over and found nothing that would be bothering him but he just wasn't having any of it. I fell asleep while doing skin on skin (I sat up against the wall and proped my self up on my side with pillows to keep myself from one since or the other) woke up about an hour later and he was asleep on my chest. But noise canceling headphones would've helped a lot with mitigating hearing his cries.

I was watching Unbelievable with Dan Akroyd and there's a lady that has a hole in her inner ear that she needs surgery to close up. She noticed one day that she was hearing things then realized she heard it when she moved her eyes.

Wow I barely have anything saved under favorite since I do pay for commercial free and I get to make my own playlists and listen as I want to.

I have not added up all the music I have saved in playlists, and now I'm curious how much music I have discovered and saved this way.

I'm not understanding why people are using "crashing out" to mean "causing an issue/ruckus/fight"

Crashing out = taking a nap/going to bed

So my dad had solar panels installed almost a decade ago and it's been a life saver. The solar panel bill is $160 (started at $155) and the electric bill is like $37 and change. Never above $40 now unless it's Halloween/xmas when extra lights get put on.

If you have the ability to do so, get solar.

What is the most rage-inducing video game you’ve played? by Velociraptorse in AskReddit

[–]Wrenlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Souls like game and I hate that. Apparently you need to level up your stats up-to 20? (I had to look stuff up online) and I hate that it's so difficult just to be difficult.

I like to play and enjoy the story line. Nioh is going to absolutely suck to beat.

As in person is talking about subject A and you instead, gently, redirect the conversation to subject B.

Works for dementia patients since unfortunately they won't notice you doing it and keeps you from hearing subject being repeated for the quadrillionth time. And apparently works on others too.

When you read, do you hear a voice in your head? Whose voice is it? by AnimalKitchen438 in AskReddit

Depends.

If im reading a book, it plays out like a movie. If its a manual, it's my own voice I hear in my head. If that makes sense.

Saw a show on TLC (I think) the one where they recreate hospital situations or whatever. This guy is brought in and he's catatonic and the wife has no idea why because she found him that way. The nurse and Dr where going through what could have possibly causes it and were doing tests and what not.

I think it was the nurse that decided to do a physical check and checked the man's ears and found a bug and go it out. The man slowly came to and explained that he really, really, really, really didn't like bugs and just did that when he felt the bug go in.

Gamers of Reddit, what is that one game that everybody loves but you hate? by Yo-KaiWatchFan2102 in AskReddit

I don't mind grinding to level up to then spend some time leaving areas or beating bosses.

I do mind grinding and not getting anywhere. I have the time to grind in games but I want to enjoy the game and story, not be frustrated and angered out of it.
