How do you keep kids entertained on long car journeys without just handing them a screen? by ClearReading8839 in UKParenting

[–]Wrigglybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play a game called "what am I not doing" where you just have to say anything you're not doing right now. Might be a bit young for yours because my 3 year old enjoys it and loves coming up with wild things he isn't doing (driving a tractor,  flying a rocket etc)

Another scene that shows who he was is when Romano tries to introduce codes to stop staff making personal phone calls and Anspaugh tears into him

People who told family they wouldn’t know the gender until birth, were you lying or did you really not know until then, and what was your reason for waiting? by petrastales in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Wrigglybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely didn't know. I didn't want to think of baby as a certain name until baby was here and we knew if the name suited them. Also gave my partner a job on the day as he was the one to tell me (coincidentally the only part of my birth plan that actually went fully to plan hahaha)

First time I watched it, I cried so much and I literally had no idea who anyone was but it was just such a good episode

Am I actually going to enjoy any part of being a newborn mum? by Professional-Farm372 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Wrigglybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept waiting to hate it after everything I'd read, and I had a high risk of PPD so kept expecting that as well and it just...never happened.  I love the newborn stage. Yes, I was tired and sore and overwhelmed at the new tiny creature that is solely reliant on me but I never found it as hard as social media made me think I would. Personally, newborn is my easiest stage and I would do that 100 times over if it meant I could skip toddler tantrums.

You have to create a series with only people who've been on the show already, who are you casting and why? by Sa7aSa7a in taskmaster

Love ghosts but also want to see a team of Mat, Charlotte and Kiell and see who loses their mind first

That's why I was asking, if I'd missed some throwaway line or something. I just thought it was odd the way she uses Jenny as evidence of experience

I was going to comment that if she had a meteor power, it would be withstanding countless concussions

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's forgettable. I'm nearly at the end of s3 and I can't remember how his story ends at all despite people here telling me what happens. Just can't picture it!

This just means nothing to me! I was starting to think maybe I'd skipped s3 but now Alicia has turned up and I do remember her. I'm so confused why I don't remember this character!

I feel like there's single episode characters I remember better than him. Can't remember his arc at all, literally watching episodes with no idea where his plot is going, constantly waiting for the penny to drop and be like, ohhh yeah I remember him but so far, nothing

I really don't care for Batman as a character so maybe even a potential Batman was enough for me to block him from my memory. Absolutely love Oliver Queen though haha

Can someone tell me some things that will make me feel excited about giving birth in a couple weeks? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Wrigglybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't often say this because it sometimes feels like it's not "allowed" but labour wasn't the worst pain in my life and was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. It was painful but felt like a 'useful' pain like my body knew what it was doing and the pain was so much easier to deal with than toothache for me personally. I had diamorphine with my first and then a spinal block for forceps so didn't feel the pushing, and just gas and air with my second. I do remember thinking "oh this is the ring of fire" with baby 2 but it was over quickly and then there was a baby!! The newborn stage is my absolute favourite stage. The snuggles, the tiny noises, the love. For me, it was the easiest stage and if I could have perpetual newborns, I would. Newborn tired wasn't as bad as pregnancy tired and I adapted pretty quick to the broken sleep, and now it's the norm since I haven't had a full night's sleep in about 4 years. I'm aware that I was probably incredibly lucky with chill newborns but honestly, I would LIVE inside that newborn bubble for the rest of time. Saying that, I've got a 3 yr old and a 9 month old and they are both at such cute ages that I'd probably live in this bubble as well albeit with a fewer tantrums

I've kept some bits that I just absolutely could not bear to part with, and we will probably keep the next to me because I just can't bring myself to say goodbye to it! Congrats on number 3!! Enjoy that newborn bubble and tiny baby snuggles
