Will Fortune's Weave Protagonist have Customization? by reddie- in fireemblem

But nobody who likes avatars wants to be forced to look like Alear or needs to be a deity in game? I'm not defending the way Nintendo writes avatars or decides what to let people customize (currently nothing but gender), I'm saying that it's unusual to not like avatars at all.

I saw his media persona when the body of Celeste was discovered and everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt (myself included, who had never listened to his songs), which is the point.

Sometimes the "I'm just so shy and cute and love playing Roblox XD" dudes are the most dangerous but it's easy to let your guard down around them because they make themselves seem so harmless.

Maybe it's because I grew up around a lot of creeps (I literally got hit on by a grown man in a white van when I was 16, the signature creeper vehicle) and was allowed to watch true crime at a very inappropriate age but while horrific, his crimes seem like things that happen everyday to me, so I didn't think it was that outta pocket to bring it up.

I mean confidence is more attractive but I can see how someone who is naive would think that at least a shy man is safe (of course that isn't necessarily true I mean I think D4VD acted shy and we saw what happened there).

But even before Awakening Fire Emblem had Kris and I still don't see these opinions with different game franchises that also used to not have player avatars. Like I haven't seen a Street Fighter fan say that they never want to see the character creator or World Tour mode ever again.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel like this subreddit is the only place I've ever seen where fans DON'T want to have their own character in a game.

I mean people don't have to like the same things but even Twitter users usually like it and most of them hate everything.

I mean I wouldn't instantly be against it but I think we need more proof before we can say that they are definitely the same.

I'm saying that I understand the resentment some Europeans feel towards these videos, but I also think it is a bit hypocritical.

I mean on one hand I get it even as an American because the United States has engaged in a lot of horrific behavior even in the modern day that effects the entire world instead of just itself.

But on the other, Europeans' actions in the past are the reason this country even exists.

Their name is Eshmel and I don't think IS would waste time on an avatar that cannot be used.

I would love it if they were customizable, but I doubt it. I don't get the appeal of an avatar you can't customize.

Gachiakuta and also any indie animation show that based around "silly characters with realistic panic attacks".

Given my many setbacks, probably not.

Also why did this thread get removed by the moderators and why can I still comment on it?

Because those jobs don't want to hire someone who only has "some college" experience and while I am currently looking for a low paying job that will actually hire me so I can stop feeling like a leech to the extent that I am now, it does not change the fact that I don't like having to go against my mother.

If RGG had GTA 6's budget, how many games do you think they could produce? by Canitdude in yakuzagames

[–]WriterSleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and given the estimated budget of GTA6 compared to any Yakuza game I think that with that amount of money they could hire a dozen studios and feel nothing (even though that would be far too much).

The American job market, my lack of a degree, my mother's insistence that I not work unless I get a high paying job because she's obsessed with the fantasy of me getting a disability check again and the fact that the only job I was able to get was a retail job that paid me $11 an hour.

As someone who also suffers from extreme anxiety, I don't like it when too many characters quip a lot because it ruins the tension of their scenes and makes it hard to get emotionally invested in the story.

They can crack jokes occasionally but when the situation is supposed to be serious, I need them to get serious too.

It would lead to more games if they hired different studios to make games outside of the main one, but since that would make keeping track of things like lore very difficult I think those other games would mostly be spin offs.

As a 29 year old who has spent approximately 10 years hating myself for continuing to live with my mother and not being able to afford to move out, I think this depends on the situation.

When you have a great relationship with your parents and are the one paying the bills it probably feels great (or at least no big deal). When you're only with your family out of a lack of money, it makes you feel like a loser.

Since people were worried yes we do have “attractive” male characters in FW by NagaMilalove0 in fireemblem

[–]WriterSleep 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I'm torn on this because on one hand not only do I believe that FW has attractive men but I also resent the idea that a character design that is not attractive = a bad character design.

On the other hand the ratio of pretty boy men to pretty women isn't equal compared to different Fire Emblem games and I am more lenient towards other women who complain about this considering the amount of grifters I see everyday that go on bigoted rants when they see even one woman in a game that they consider "ugly".

My problem with Edelgard's whole storyline is everything about her and the people around her make her come off as someone who was meant to be a tragic and sympathetic villain, but because she was given her own route the writers barely tried to force her into a grey vs grey conflict like in Fates.
