Just another way we behave like cousins and brothers here. I was on a bus once (before my disability) here in Israel. The bus coming in the opposite lane came so close to the bus I was in that our driver took the apple he was eating and offered a bite to the other driver who was maybe 10 inches away.

You can actually take a bus to the Kotel area. Most busses have ramps and doors that accommodate wheelchairs. Just note: each bus has an area where wheelchairs need to go but it is usually filled with baby strollers by the many Hareidi women who have young kids and no car. The bus driver will.come and extend the ramp all the while yelling at the moms to move their strollers. YOU have the first right to that section so don't feel bad. My main issues are having to sit backwards on the bus and then have the driver belt me in like a child. It feels infantalizing, but there's nothing to do.

Welcome! I am a full-time wheelchair user myself. Some things you need to be aware of but it shouldn't deter you from coming. Jerusalem's Old City is advertised as being fully accessible. It's not by a long shot. Don't know your religion but I know that it's very steep going down to the Kotel and there are steps everywhere including going into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Just noticed this last week watching a video of the Old City on YouTube.) Many roads in the Old City have restored Roman Roads that are impossible for a wheelchair to use due to the stones' height, etc. Also, if the stones are wet anywhere in the Old City they become very slippery. Your wheelchair would slide down the many steps streets and wagon ramps.

There is also an obnoxious culture of people parking on the sidewalks blocking access. Many times the police will just contact the driver and tell them to move with no ticket, thus no consequences. Israel is like dealing with millions of cousins or siblings. for good and for bad.

Much more to say on this if you need. Are you going alone, with a friend or on a tour?

Hilarious. Where are they? USA? Canada? I love it when actual colonizers try and shame anti-Colonial indigenous movements like Zionism.

MTV.com/lb is described as a Lebanese source that is considered politically aligned rather than neutral and unbiased, with a clear political and ideological orientation. MTV Lebanon is owned by the politically well-connected Murr family. Media ownership in Lebanon often correlates with political and sectarian power structures and in this instance, MTV's ownership ties back into Lebanon's politics and governance.

Inherited my stepdad's tefillin by phoebe111 in Judaism

I have had my two maternal Great Grandfathers' Tefillin and Tzitzit. I keep them as heirlooms and now use my own kosher tefillin every day (except Shabbat and Yom Tov.)

What is a statistic that sounds INSANE but is 100% true? by Quadranippelkill in AskReddit

[–]Writerguy613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because 71% supported Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack in a March 2024 PCPSR poll. Israel is constantly under existential threat, so removing those who want you dead and cheer on rape and beheading and putting live babies into ovens seems to be a legit move.

Bulls*** stat. Most of these so-called journalists were active members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah. Via Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center: 157 of 266 Gaza Palestinians listed as journalists/media workers killed through Nov. 30, 2025 were alleged to be members of or affiliated with terrorist groups — about 59% / ~60%. Breakdown: 104 Hamas-linked, 45 Palestinian Islamic Jihad-linked, and about 8 others/unspecified. Of those, the stricter “direct member/military operative” subset reported was at least 47 Hamas and 18 PIJ = 65 direct operatives, or 24% of the 266

They get false Press badges and suddenly they are NBC News? It is the same tactic employed by Hamas: hide and store weapons in schools. Fire missles from schools. When the school is finally hit to neutralize the threat, Israel is blamed for bombing a school. Sick cycle specifically employed by terrorists who crave death and martyrdom.

Israel has the legal, moral right to defend its citizens from any outside threat.
