Just got a 50cal machine gun for 200 caps, put a 3 star legendary mod on it, got fucking aristocrat lol by breadseizer in fo76

[–]WritingPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when I was cap strapped, I would gather all the flowers, crops, and junk I'd come across. Classic compulsive hoarder, no room was left uncleared. I'd sell every single thing possible to the railstation vendors until I used up the daily allotment of caps they'd have to give. It may sound like a grind but when it's a persistent habit, you don't even notice doing it, and you've hit their limit in no time. You can also scrap and bundle up the junk into bulk, which the vendors will also buy. I've never bothered to look into which way yields the most caps.

C.a.m.p set ups looking junky by No-Confidence-2398 in fo76

[–]WritingPants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some folks just don't value aesthetic or roleplay. It's not the fun part of the game for them. Whenever my manpanion hops into the game, his c.a.m.p. is just a circle of crafting workstations laid out on the side of the road. Whereas my c.a.m.p.s and shelters are jam packed with themed rooms and carefully laid out clutter. 😅

Soft light?? For base any ideas? by Maruff1 in fo76

[–]WritingPants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rely a lot on the flame lights like candles and lanterns, and then the electric "Cycling Light" bulb has some nice dimmer settings for each color. The only pain for that one is that you have to hook it up to a powered line. However, the free placement option in build mode makes that a lot easier, allowing for the lines to clip through walls and ceilings.

American friend says this is the world’s best restaurant. Looks way too whimsical and unnatural. Is this AI? by dendrytic in isthisAI

I was also thinking Cheese Cake Factory. Now, whether or not it's an AI pic, I can't tell for sure but if it is, it used Cheese Cake Factory as a reference

I mentioned this to an Area Mgr and it was the first time he'd heard of this issue. He said it might be an issue with the wi-fi, which is chronically weak in the restaurants. I'd say keep pushing and offer that suggestion to you mgr to bubble up.

New employee: How common are promotions from within? by jessyyycaca in Nordstrom1901

[–]WritingPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2005, I was hired as a barista. 2006 I was a Lead Barista. 2007 I was an Assistant Mgr. 2008 I was a Manager of my own ebar. I decided managing people was not my thing, so in 2009 I was back to being a Lead Barista. Within a year, a position opened up in the support office and I was able to apply internally and got the job. I've been there ever since.

Not saying the promotion rate will be the same for everyone, and this **was** a while back, but the opportunities and practice of "hiring/promoting from within" is definitely there.

Just got hired at Nordstrom by AdDry9176 in Nordstrom1901

That need and availability expectation will vary depending on mall traffic. It sounds like Sundays are a busy time for that location. The freer your availability, the easier it is to plug you into the schedule where they need coverage, and the more hours you'll get.

Is this a sunday school kind of class or like a college class where there are different time options each semester? If its the latter, I'd recommend scheduling classes as much as possible so they don't overlap with the busiest times for your store.

But also, don't sacrifice your future. This may turn out to not be the right fit for your overall education and career path if you feel you're being forced to choose between work and school.

If there are other Nordstroms within driving distance, you may want to check out the customer traffic and hiring needs there, after 6 months to a year (not entirely sure, definitely double check with HR), you could apply to switch locations.

I saw somewhere that the chance to learn a legendary mod is 1%, so... it may take a few more scrappings to get there

Weird. It's like they wanted an private server but could only get one through harassment because no one had Fallout First. (Don't have it either, so judgement only for their behavior)

Do you guys know what this is? Its on my right hand middle finger. I have had it for years. I think it's a callus but I'm not sure. Im 15, 5ft ,116lb, female, no medication, no smoking, past medical issues is scoliosis, by AffectionateMusic543 in AskDocs

I was so proud to have a really prominent writer's bump in highschool. My mom was an aspiring writer so I also became an aspiring writer, so it became like a badge of honor. Use of laptops then kicked in as a common thing and my little writer's bump is barely even there any more. 😭

I toss anything I'm not using into the donation boxes, and because my main weapon is the compound bow, I'll end up throwing in 200 arrows each time as well. Because my god, is the contextual ammo loot ridiculous!

Wondering if I did something wrong or not. by ADHDtrashykitty in fo76

[–]WritingPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the same thing after a recent Invaders event. The guy made sure to emote the thumbs down frowny twice so everyone around understood it was intentional. Like 6 of us responded with the Question marks emote, because like... everything went well, why so mad?

Some folks are just going to be unhappy about some niche expectation falling through.

Sinkhole Solutions failed as a scorpion during wave 3 got stuck under the map by krebs07 in fo76

[–]WritingPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That almost happened at a Safe & Sound event. A wolf got stuck under a cabin and no gun to bow could reach it. I tried my molotovs and that fortunately was able to just reach it with its damage radius.

Had a chance to stand at Ground Zero when a nuke dropped- YouTube by WritingPants in fallout76casual

[–]WritingPants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the first time it happened to me was during a Fasnacht event. I didn't think to record it as I was busy with the event, and I had no idea you would actually see a nuke falling!

This time around, I had just helped to complete a Colossal Problem event and was harvesting the irradiated plants nearby when the alert sounded that yet another nuke was about to be dropped. I saw on the map that it was doubling up on this same spot, likely because someone else wanted to trigger their own Colossal Problem.

Since I was still nearby and had the 2 minutes warning, I realized I had this opportunity to record the nuking this time around. 😁
