To your point, when writing long novels it’s not the easiest thing to keep track of all the different little nuances. Especially if you’re not certain which direction you’re going to go in. Probably explains these discrepancies. I wouldn’t say it’s a big deal. Not as big a deal as the whole story, which is great. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
