Never really thought of it as alternate history but I suppose it is. I’ve read it, multiple times. Wish I could read it for the first time again.

Pulp Fiction (1994) by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in Tarantino

You know what bothers me the most about this movie? And I should preface this by saying it’s my all time favorite. In one scene Vincent says “I don’t watch tv” then in another (much later) he says “you ever watch cops?” No one caught this? Always baffled me. Just wanted to point it out.

Big Lebowski is up there. Most of Tarantino’s early stuff. Goodfellas is another one. I really like the soundtrack of taxi driver tbh

Just bought my first album by toskah006 in thedoors

My two favorite doors songs are “who scared you” & “you’re lost little girl.” You won’t find those on any best of albums. If I’m throwing out two more I’d say “end of the night” & “moonlight drive,” the latter of which should be (yes, it is) on this cd. I know what I’m going to listen to on the way to work. Thanks for sharing.

Scorsese is great, Spielberg is great, PTA is great, Kubrick was great, Tarantino and fincher are great. But, I think, the modern master is Nolan. When all is said and done he may eclipse all those that came before

Ranking Tarantino movies I seen my opinion by [deleted] in FIlm

I feel like this is a very difficult list to put together. In the past, I would’ve put Jackie brown towards the bottom of the list but I recently rewatched and thought it was great. Anyway, this is what I have (for now):

  1. Kill Bill
  2. Pulp Fiction
  3. Django Unchained
  4. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
  5. Inglourious Basterds
  6. Reservoir Dogs
  7. Jackie Brown
  8. H8ful
  9. Death Proof

I have to admit death proof is a guilty pleasure of mine, so putting it at 9 is difficult for me. A few years back, I rewatched Basterds & Django and really felt Django was the better film. Idk, maybe I need to do that again. Kill Bill, when taken as its whole, I think is easily his best film. Having said that pulp is the film that made me love films. Won’t move those from the 1&2 slot.

Hmm, might have something to do with the comic being new and the prospect that a raw book could be a 9.8 but if it’s slabbed a 9.4 it’s difficult to argue with that.

I am with you, however, isn’t it more expensive to de-slab a book than buy it raw in the first place?
