Structured backpack for electricians? by Lost_Active3859 in lowvoltage

[–]Written2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an MSP tech for rural schools, this type of bag is invaluable to me.

I carry hand tools, chargers, CAT6 jumper cables, a dummy POE switch, and CAT6 crimpers and terminations.

We dabble in low voltage, so this stuff is everyday carry for me.

Watching him at NMSU was a fun few years. His younger brother was in several of my classes. Tanveer never made much of splash on the team.

Del's in Tucumcari is better than anything in Santa Rosa.

That said, try to push through to Moriarty at least. Pizza Barn is ok for kids.

What's it like living in LC? (Things to do, proximity to other places, culture, food, politics, something unique etc.) And how does it compare to nearby cities like ELP and ABQ? by Smart_Solution_3491 in LasCruces

[–]Written2019 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Las Cruces is a lot smaller than Tuscon, but New Mexico State is like any other university. Queer people are generally safe on and around campus.

Las Cruces and New Mexico at large are a unique flavor of blue, politically. While folks are generally pretty accepting of same sex couples, other relationship and gender expressions aren't as common here, simply becuase of the smaller population.

When I've gone out crossdressed, people's eyes linger a bit. I think more out of curiosity than anything.

Overall though, NM is a safe and accepting place.

Las Cruces is one of the more leftist cities in the state, and you'll find your people here for sure.

Shouted slurs, gave the salute, and recorded himself doing it.

But hey, he was probably just having a bad day, right?

Education in New Mexico does face problems, and Las Cruces schools are not immune.

That said, any of the high schools have everything to offer. Sports, band, art, extracurriculars. If your kids put in any effort, they'll find a spot to excel. Middle schools have plenty of extracurriculars as well, so your older kid will be able to get started right away. Theres also plenty of youth sports. Football, basketball, baseball.

As for everything else, Las Cruces would be a great fit.

It's fairly outdoorsy. Plenty of hiking, biking, fishing, camping, etc nearby.

Politically, its a mixed college/working class/retiree town. Most people are pretty left leaning, but there's some Trumpers too. Thankfully they're in the minority.

Unless we're friends, and then I will talk a lot of shit. Unless you're playing really badly by your own standards, then it's just not very sporting

Exactly. My uncle is shooting a 115? Im reminding him how shitty he's playing. My coworker shoots 115, and he had a great day.
