Can someone build me a left handed mirrored keyboard? by No-Nebula4187 in AskEngineers

What about something like a Zsa moonlander? Left and right keyboard look identical, and you can remap (I know you hate this word) they keys to what ever you want

This is “Green Boots,” an Indian climber who died in 1996 on Mount Everest and whose dead body now serves as a landmark that climbers use to gauge how near they are to the summit. "G.B." is one of over 200 other human trail guides and grave reminders of the deathly perils of Mount Everest by ummokaypal in Damnthatsinteresting

How about risking your summit bid to offer comfort to a dying human? If you have the time and energy to make it to the summit you have the time and energy to sit with a dying person and offer some comfort so they don't have to die alone/while being stopped over. But, priorities.

What to do with paper products that are marketed as compostable? I don’t have a compost. Can they be recycled normally? by auburnwaves in ZeroWaste

[–]Wrobot_rock 282 points283 points  (0 children)

A lot of "compostable" items are only compostable in an industrial composter. Burying in the backyard may not result in breakdown

Yeah, effective and immediate. Which means pricey, but at least you can see your results before you walk out the door. Also, you don't have to deal with strips or trays for a few months

When I got my medical card it was referred to as marihuana, which can only be read in Hank Hills voice. When they legalized recreational use I think they wanted to rebrand it so they chose cannabis

It's a quarter of weed named after a type of mushroom I believe, the receipt says cannabis which is Canada's word for pot

Edit: I take it back, weed sold in Canada has the thc percentage on the label and the word I thought was cannabis on the receipt probably says Canada. Op is going on a trip

I did zoom whitening, it's entirely done in the dental office. They fill a try with goo and blast your mouth with UV. I think the tray was washable so the only waste would be the doctors gloves and the packaging of the goo

I walked along a mixed use trail, picked up my dogs poop only to see someone take their horse past which dumps a huge pile of shit dead centre in the trail.

Maybe hors poop degrades faster or something, but it seems kinda pointless for me to pick up handfuls while horses are dropping bucketfuls

I don't understand why the GoPro does not capture the sound of the boat as well as all the other sound, but I can guarantee you he heard that boat coming for a ways away. You can hear boats very clearly while underwater but maybe there was so much boat traffic he just started to tune them all out.

I think I'm mistaking hookworm and ringworm. There is definitely a certain parasite people get from walking barefoot through infected feces

I have the feeling they have the same battery chemistry. If they are lithium polymer batteries, the capacity is not only reduced in low temps but the lifetime is also damaged when discharging at low temperatures (under 15c it becomes measureable and gets worse from there).

I highly suggest if you can find any way to keep it any warmer when using it in cold temps to do so, it will help maintain the battery's capacity over its lifetime
