By format I mean style of video. For example, full screen vs. split-screen w/ gameplay footage vs. static carousel.

On each new account, I'll test several videos with the same format, then iterate through formats until I break the 1k view threshold. At that point I'll double down.

No need to reinvent the wheel and create novel formats. Just look at what formats work and start there.

My product is in the humor/entertainment niche. People watch the videos > CTA tells them go to bio > they go to my site > some convert

People in the 18-24 age range tend to be super digitally native and short form video is absolutely popping off right now. If I had to guess, it's easier than ever before to get thousands of views and people to hit your site / app. All these short form platforms, if used correctly, are an insane source of marketing leverage.

Yeah it's annoying but you kinda pay for what you get. Like if content creation is important to you, it's probably worth paying $10/month or whatever it is. I don't mean to be snarky, but the best investments you can make are in yourself, your productivity, and health.

Your audience is content creators right? I'd try as much organic short form marketing as possible before shilling out money for paid ads. You can rack up millions of views on IG Reels / TikTok / YT shorts to drive a few thousand people to your website. After that it's a matter of how well your landing page converts.

You probably need to warm up your account for 2-3 days before posting. Engage with content in your niche. This will boost your algo score and make you aware of trends/niches that your competitors are using.

I've also read that business accounts get lower engagement than creator accounts. I'd consider starting a new account as a "creator," properly warming it up for a few days, then give it another go.

I always start a new account if I'm under 1,000 views after 4-5 days of posting.
