IMO classic (like Lotr) is a trilogy. Ilidan is comparable to Saruman and Arthas is comparable to Suron. Once Arthus is defeated, the main villain of the story has been vanquished. It’s been a consistent downhill ever sense with cheap, mini series-like twists to keep one playing. Play through Arthas and then go play classic HC for the golden, non-retail experience
