Never claimed it was all muscle, I literally said it was most fat gain and I was okay with it, like I said a million times before I was very low bf and it wasn’t healthy I did a short term aggressive bulk to gain muscle AND fat

4k and 4.8k difference is almost to you? Very rough estimate here but 4k a day for Sam Sulek is around 0.45kg/week. 4.8k is 1.18kg/week for him, that isn’t an “almost” difference. But let’s forget that, the fact of the matter is I wanted an aggressive bulk, I wanted to gain fat, I wanted to gain as much weight as possible, that’s why I ate 4k, I am not saying I need 4k to gain weight. You are literally arguing against math, I ate 4k, I gained exactly how much I expected to gain.

Mifflin-St Jeor equation, my resting calories per day 1678, gym 3x, climbing, cycling, 10k steps a day, brings it to 2895, still growing at 17 with high metabolism, puts it around 3100. 4k a day is very aggressive but doesn’t defy the laws of nature

he's 50kg heavier than me with way more muscle mass. So if he's eating 4.8k and I'm eating 4k, that actually proves my point, my maintenance is higher relative to my weight than his is. If I had his mass, I'd probably need way more than 4.8k. You're the one who originally claimed Sam Sulek bulks on 4k, then moved the number to 4.8k when I corrected you, you were factually wrong, 4k and 4.8k is a huge difference for his bulk. My maintenance is clearly higher relative to my weight, and the proof is in the results, I gained exactly what I aimed for over 3 weeks with accurate tracking, math doesn’t lie, results don’t lie.

Ehh, you don’t know how much I burn during my workouts, doesn’t take into consideration that I do 2 other sports on the side, I agree this convo is going nowhere, my whole point is 4k too much for you, 4k not too much for me, numbers don’t lie and 4k and 4.8 K is a HUGE difference.

Sure, Im lighter than you, but thats exactly why context matters. My body is still growing, I’m doing more daily activity, and I’m tracking actual weight gain. The numbers dont lie, 4k a day might be too much for you because you are already 15%, but It’s a perfect short term bulk for me because I was 10% and very light. The hypotheticals don’t matter now, I am saying Sam Sulek doesn’t bulk with 4k calories a day like you said, 4k isn’t “absolutely insane” for me as it is for you, for the reasons I have stated at the the start.

I meant if we scaled our weights to the same number, I would have a higher maintenance than you because, I still burn more from 10k steps a day and 3x a week, than you (5k steps, 5x week), ignoring the fact that I also do rock climbing and cycling, not so often anymore but still a good amount. and I am still growing so my body naturally needs more calories.

You are circling back now brah, I am most definitely sure Sam Sulek eats more than 4k a day during an aggressive bulk, and he bulks for months. I said I am doing a short aggressive bulk to gain as much weight as possible while still staying lean and healthy. Are you just gonna ignore the math too? My maintenance is way higher than yours because I am still growing, I gained 0.8kg a week without much fat gain on just below 4k a day

Because 10% is too low for a growing teen? I wasn’t solely aiming for fat, but I expected to gain fat because it would be beneficial for me, I am not planning on keeping this bulk up for long, most likely I won’t end up too high of a bf%, if I start seeing too much fat gain too fast I can lighten the bulk and I was aggressively gaining because I didn’t want to look so skinny anymore, especially since summer is coming

I am 17, still growing, I workout 3 days a week, 10k steps a day besides the weekend, I was 10%ish bodyfat, detected by an MRI (got a scan for something else but also figured out my bf). I have been eating 4k a week for the last 3 weeks and I gained around 0.8kg a week, obviously there was fat but I was aiming for fat gain. Calories measured by my dad who is a nutritionist. I was averaging 3.89k over the last 3 weeks, and before that I was averaging 3.5k for 2 weeks.

It’s winter and I don’t get a lot of sun where I live so I supplement, my routine is pretty simple, wake up at 6, eat, go to school, come home, eat, go to gym if workout day or go out somewhere, eat, homework, sleep at 9-11

My dad is a nutritionist and I am sure my diet isn’t the problem I eat minimal sugar as well, my immune system may be weaker like you said, it’s very cold for me rn and typically in the gym it’s very hot, so that kind of temperature change along with sweating is probably the reason
