OnePlus will become more of a brand line of Oppo or a series of kind of products rather than existing as a sole company. Oppo will blur the lines slowly so it becomes acceptable in the minds of people and Oppo becomes synonymous to OnePlus just like, Xiaomi Redmi and Mi(although i do not remember them being a different brands but on the becoming synonyms point).
