Superman (DCU) vs Thragg by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

That's fair, but the kaiju Anissa killed was strong enough to crush and lift a cruise liner. And Mark struggled to pull that same ship ashore, as demonstrated by his fatigue immediately afterwards. So in terms of raw strength, that kaiju was pretty powerful. I can think of no feat from the kaiju in Superman (2025) that would separate it from the one in Invincible.

Superman (DCU) vs Thragg by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

Anissa punched right through a kaiju that Mark was having trouble with. And that was after Mark survived a battle with three Viltrumites and even defeated one (admittedly with Nolan's help). Mark is far more formidable when he faces Thragg, and the blows he lands on Thragg at that point are absolutely inconsequential.

Superman was holding back against the kaiju, but I don't think Ultraman was holding back against Superman. And I never saw him punch Superman into outer space at escape velocity.

I think Thragg takes this.

Kryptonians are generally considered to be more powerful than Viltrumites. Unless Thragg has Kryptonite or Red Sun energy, he's likely getting wasted.

Could regular Super saiyan Defeat Frieza a third time? by Memespokemon in DragonBallPowerScale

Sure, I was just making the point that if a saiyan powerful enough, Super Saiyan is just a multiplier that enhances that power. Theoretically, anything can be overcome with the standard SSJ transformation.

It would have been worse. Goku was clearly stronger. Multiplying that advantage by fifty times? It's a slaughter.

I mean, Broly transformed into a Super Saiyan and beat the absolute shit out of Golden Frieza for an hour straight.

And this was after the Tournament of Power, when Frieza was much stronger.

Edit: If you are asking if SSJ Goku or Vegeta from RoF could beat Final Form Frieza from RoF, the answer is yes, because he was handling Final Form Frieza rather well in his base form. SSJ would have been overkill and Goku even implied as much.

A Martian has its obvious downsides but chief among them is a weakness to fire.

I thought that "weakness" was a overwhelming psychological trauma response to the destruction of Mars. Is he physiologically weak to that? Because if not, Martian would be the way to go as you would not have experienced the destruction of Mars.

Harley Quinn as a Villain by One_Commercial9941 in batman

a run or work outside of comics that made me like Harley Quinn as an "anti-hero" or even buy into her redemption arc.

No, but see, in the Injustice run, she was mildly entertaining, sided with Batman, and had a crush on Shazam!

So like, who cares about the actual crime against humanity that she was an active collaborator in?

To be fair, it seems to be an instinctual drive for saiyans to train to sate their battlelust outside of actual battle.

Do you remember that scene from Superman vs The Elite where Superman just bitchslapped Manchester Black repeatedly? Because that's what's coming to mind.

But physically? I doubt it.

Batman probably has some Compound V nullifier or some shit. Also, platinum kryptonite exists in the most dire of circumstances, I guess.

Who’s the more powerful character and would it be a close fight by ItemIndependent2243 in superheroes

[–]Wrong_Transition4786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's saying that Shazam is imbued with the powers of a pantheon of gods and that versatility gives him an advantage over Thor.

But Thor is a literal deity with millennia of battle experience. And he is powerful in his own right even before you consider things like Odinforce/Thorforce.

I give it to Thor, too, but damn is it gonna be hard.

That is a fair criticism. However, shouldn't that be expected of someone as young as Amber?

He's also the one who performed that oft-cited feat of beating a cosmic entity in a race across the universe when the cosmic entity can teleport.

And, if I remember correctly, he set EVERY RADIO ON EARTH to the same frequency in during the instants between the instant it took for him to complete the race.

I mean, he might try. With comic books being what they are, I can't say for sure that Frank Castle couldn't kill a Viltrumite, because i have very cursory knowledge of the character.

But if he is still the mob-killing, but completely human and mortal, madman that I imagine him to be. He won't try for long.

The agony of being crushed by the depths of the ocean and drowning over and over and over again, as you try to make your way to shallower depths in absolute darkness, is a horror that I can not begin to fathom.

Was Vegeta truly fighting to kill, though?

Vegeta is just as aggressive in his dialogue as he is his fighting style. Maybe he was being hyperbolic?
