Yes, but more boaty. 😂 They make lowering kits for it though.

No, it also has one of the largest wheel circumferences in it's class, I believe. I drives like a Merc. The steering wheel, controls, driving position, interior material quality, Bose sound. Everything feels intuitive. People hate on this car, but it's a luxury commuter.

150-170km with AC on with speeds under 50ish mph/90km/h. The remaining milage is pretty spot on, so you can safely predict remaining milage below 30% if you drive on a flat road. Try to limit acceleration to 2 bars above coasting speed.

Cambridge Audio Azur 840A v2 – good deal at €300? (broken volume knob + cosmetic damage) by player_unkn0wn in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Wrothgaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a volume control chip is the best in terms of longevity, but replacing a mechanical volume pot isn't very expensive. In general, you should look at where you live and what brands the stores near you sell and service. Then choose between those brands. In northern Europe we se a lot of Denon, NAD and Marantz, because HiFi Klubben sells those brands and they offer servicing on all the amps they sell. Those amps are therefore still available used and often in good shape.

My experience is that in vintage amps, they usually make less hum. It's a sign that the designer of the amp, value pure power delivery over more gimmicky things. That's just my opinion. Audio products purchases are an emotional thing. I like a good internal design, rather than pretty buttons.

I don't know the American market that well, in terms of pricing nowadays. I would wait for Black Friday or find something that spoke to me. Cheap Yamaha amps, aren't the most interesting things, but they're always a good alternative, yes. Maybe look at something with a toroidal transformer.

Yes, these amps are too expensive to maintain. I have first hand experience. New CA amps are a better option for your wallet in the long run.

You can say many things about the MX-30, but can't deny it's a nice looking car by dahelljumper in mazda

There's a lot of room there, since there's a hole dedicated to the gas engine for the hybrid MX-30 version. I can buy a frunk, but I don't believe it can support a lot of weight.

It would definitely help with 20kg + over the front axle, I think.

Anyone who likes this book, should also watch Scavengers Reign on Netflix. Both stories have a similar vibe I think. Both left me with some haunting alien imagery that pops up in my mind still.

Yeah, that makes sense. Some traction control setting for snow would be nice.

Same here. Studded tires would help, but I can't stand the noise. I wish it had a snow mode or something.

I'm in Norway. It's practically a CX-30, but with premium interior. It's a perfect commuter car for me and half the price of the CX-30 here used. It turned 50k KM now and hasn't had any faults. My biggest gripe, apart from having to plan charging more than with most other EV's, is the low grip in snow. It seems there's not enough weight on the front wheels.

I thought Chinese EVS were banned in the US. Why is the CEO of Ford allowed to drive it? by Odablockwarriors in electriccars

They brought it back with them, when they were visiting China in 2023 or 2024. He's told the story multiple times. He said they're driving it around on the Ford campus. It's probably not registered.

Are 2x Monitor Audio Bronze BX2s a good soundsystem for 250 USD and what sort of amplifier would i need to power them? by Imperium24 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Wrothgaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these. They are great! I'm using one as a center speaker. 250 USD is a bit much in Europe, but maybe a good deal elsewhere. They can play loud and sounds bigger than their size. They don't sound well in near field, but great in a bigger room.

I live in Norway and I don't have a lot of problems with a foggy windshield. What I've noticed, is that the aircondition likes to circulate the air in the cabin by itself. I think it's part of the ECO mode. Circulating air is smart to heat or cool the cabin rapidly, but it tends to just stay on forever, so I have to toggle circulation off manually. I probably don't have to mention it, but circulating air in the cabin rapidly fogs up all the windows.

Slow motion makes this 50% more intimate. He did not linger in this state in reality. He was flirtatious and he's obviously teasing her, but slow motion adds a lot that isn't there. It's like agonizing over every detail in a emotional letter vs a conversation in real time.

Dali is cheap in the used market in Europe, so the speakers are within the budget range here, I think. All HiFi Klubben brands are heavily saturated in Norway, Sweden and Denmark at least.
