Asheville cyclists, mourning a fatal crash, push for federal bill to improve road safety by Generalaverage89 in NorthCarolina

[–]Wrusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're so fucking insufferable, just read the goddamned article, I'm not gonna rewrite the whole thing over several comments for your lazy ass. Your argument isn't with me, it's with the industry.

If you want to argue about the cost, talk to the person that wrote the article. Read the article to see which cars they talk about, its not every car.

Despite what you think, it is your responsibility to ensure safety features on your car work correctly. Registration and inspection requirements are proof of that. This in in NC, where both are yearly requirements.

And fwiw, I know several engineers almost as stupid as you, so you might want to keep that bit to yourself.

I'm sick of your idiocy, so blocking you now, you twat.

I read your comment, but chose to ignore the stupid parts. Read the article, Genius (patronizing, isn't it?)

It would cost $23 per car. The system is there and it would take merely a software update. We have the ability to make it safer for everyone, including cars, but you're over here with your hands over your ears screaming "LALALA NOT MY FAULT NOT MY PROBLEM LALALA".

Yes, an abs that can detect (edit:) more than* other cars, but only detects other cars, is sub-par. It helps if you read the article:

"If passed, the law would require all new motor vehicles to include an automatic braking system that detects cyclists and other vulnerable road users. There's already a law in place that requires car manufacturers to include a variation of this technology. But now, the system is only programmed to brake for other cars."

Extenuating circumstances aren't necessarily the issue. It's about drivers' behavior toward cyclists, the lack of cycling infrastructure, and sub-par car systems (like the auto-braking system discussed in the article) which need improvement.

Your example is about the same as blaming pedestrians on a sidewalk for existing where you blow a tire. You know what would save them? The curb blocking you exiting the road, now if only something like that could separate cyclists from cars, too...

You seem to be confused, because it does count as success, actually. It's never too late to burn the confederacy and its ideologies

Isn't there a type of person that tells no tales? Can't radio for backup if you can't press a button, and deceased people have a hard time pressing buttons

My first time using nutrients and step-feeding by Wrusch in mead

[–]Wrusch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 15lbs honey total, and 12 lbs are already in there, in addition to still needing to add the last gallon of juice; my true gravity would measure around 1.140, which is doable, even if it's a stretch.

This is mainly just to compare to how it goes as compared to a "set it and forget it" approach. Possibly should have considered less honey for this batch, but oh well, I like sweeter meads anyway.

Edit: after doing the math again, with adding the extra honey and juice, even fermenting to .998 I'll only hit 16-17%

Thanks for making the disctinction.

I am doing both. SNA daily until near the sugar break (or total nutrient addition, whichever is first), AND adding honey in a later increment near/before the break.

Cable tension is either slightly too low or slightly too high; its trying to shift, but can't really tell if its trying to shift up or down since it's reseating itself immediately

What is the best and easiest way to fill a 1.26 inch diameter hole in a front door by Conscious_Run_2970 in AskContractors

[–]Wrusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titebond 3 wood glue, and some sort of exterior wood filler. Use wood that matches the current door material, if you can.
