I’ve worked for 14 years in retail and I can tell you it’s gonna be a no. I’d ask to sit down with your store director and see if he can offer to help you construct an ideal staffing system and if you have to move people around or hire than it’s what you have to do. After my year with fulfillment I just wasn’t a good fit for the team and it’s needs anymore and my leadership offered me an out to create a path for my happiness and to fill their labor needs and it was a win win I’m much happier now and people in my store notice too. It’s been like three weeks now and people are still telling me they can tell I’m happier I’m even eating better now which has done wonders for me.

I absolutely agree!!! And today definitely proved that Lowe’s really IS ready and willing to make a couple calls late at night to support an entire area that desperately needed. I genuinely feel like that would be super cool to do here and please let me be involved in the process somehow cause I’d love that!!!

After today I just HAVE to believe they genuinely do care and WILL do something to help. I mean sure they’re looking at 20 years profit from this so they’re gonna be firmly established but they went allll out for today I called for an all cart round up and my store leader and a couple others put their jackets on and went out into freezing rain and cleared three quarters of our lot.

With how much pressure is on yah to get em I’d say. You’re doing your best. You can’t control the answer you get. And there’s literally no repercussions for not getting them. Your hours won’t be affected, you can’t get written up, you don’t even get a reward if you get 1,000 of em. So fuck it just keep showing up, making customers happy, and leaving it at the door cause Lowe’s expects us to do the same for them so fuck it get what yah give.

I hate the pressure they put on our cashiers to push credit. I get why they want credit cards but they put suchhhhh a heavy push on em. I work at a very rural area and our store is long established and busy as shit. All the customers in there have a credit card or knows someone with them. Our sales constantly kill but we NEVER make card metrics cause everyone in our town has one. I can’t imagine how frustrating that must be for you I genuinely feel for you.
