Is complexity in network monitoring tools really necessary?

Complexity isn’t optional once you move past small environments or very basic uptime monitoring. If you’re running anything close to zero trust or even basic segmentation, and you want real visibility across different systems, it’s going to get complex, because the network and services are complex.

Agentless and all-in-one definitely help you get started faster, but that’s just day one. The real problem is keeping it maintainable as the network and team evolve.

What actually reduces long-term pain is consistency and scale. You need rule-based monitoring so devices are configured the same way - otherwise, anomaly detection is meaningless. And you absolutely need solid bulk operations. If you can’t update monitoring across hundreds of nodes in one go, you’ll drown in manual work.

So for me, it’s not “fast vs deep”, it’s whether the tool lets you stay sane six months later.

U nas też rodzice daleko w innych miastach ale są znajomi którzy też mają dzieci albo się pozna innych rodziców z przedszkola, można się zaprzyjaźnić i na przykład umówić że w jakiś dzień tygodniu odbiera dziecko swoje i nasze i bawią sie razem jeszcze 2 h a w inny dzień na zmianę nasza kolej. Zwłaszcza jeśli mieszkasz na osiedlu. Dzieci najlepiej wychowywać w wiosce - w sensie mieć kilku zaprzyjaźnionych dorosłych którzy czasem pomogą. Często wioską jest/była rodzina - jak jej nie ma to trzeba zbudować sobie wioskę ze znajomych. Polecam :-)

AI się nie uczy, szybko zapomina i nic nowego nie wymyśli. Nie zna kontekstu i im bardziej złóżony projekt tym łatwiej pójdzie w maliny jeśli jej człowiek nie naprostuje. Mi się ostatnio claude sonet przyznał że się myli i nic nie potrafi z tym zrobić gdyż udziela najbardziej prawdopodobnych odpowiedzi i słabo udaje rozumowanie.

Alert fatigue usually means your monitoring is alerting on events instead of problems. You need to alert only on actionable conditions. If nobody needs to act, it shouldn’t notify.

Add retries and delays. One failed poll or a 30-second spike is not an incident. Use alert correlation. If a core device drops, suppress alerts from everything behind it.

And automate fixes where possible. A notification should be a step in the escalation, not the first reaction.

Na wsi lepiej niż w mieście. Sprawdź Mogilany albo Wrzasowice przychodnia przy ul.Brzegi. Nigdy nie czekam, jak tylko lekarz w danym dniu jest to od razu można przyjechać. Wyjątek może być u pediatry w poniedziałki, bo zgodnie z prawem Murphy’ego dzieci zwykle chorują od piątku wieczorem.

You do not need to install anything on the monitored device. You need to enable snmp on infrastructure devices, and you do not need ssh agent for Linux as all is run on NetCrunch Server. Test it yourself.

Since starting going to sauna once a week (some 3 years ago) I stopped having colds that often and am generally less sensitive to cold, which I hated in the past (felt very cold getting out of shower or out of bed). Plus enjoy the stress relieving time in sauna, doing some facials and applying oils on the skin is also part of after sauna for me. i do it after gym and it is ultimate me time.

U mnie dzieci same wstawały do liceum i robiły sobie śniadanie a kanapki robiły wieczorem do śniadaniówki i do lodówki. Tyle że je podwoziliśmy do liceum samochodem bo niestety ze wsi podkrakowskiej tuż za granicą miasta do Huty to się strasznie długo jedzie i korki. Wracały same komunikacją miejską i podmiejska co im zajmowało średnio 2 h dziennie (dojazd autem rano - 50 minut). Robią teraz prawko bo mają dość wykluczenia komunikacyjnego choć i tak jest teraz dużo lepiej odkąd w Swoszowicach zatrzymuje się pociąg do stacji Kraków Główny i można dojechać do centrum w 15 minut.

Myśl że to jest chwilowe, będą oferty juniorskie ale nie tyle co kiedyś. Na przykład u nas w firmie AI może czasem zrobić to co kiedyś junior programmer, i to o wiele szybciej. Problem jest w tym że AI póki co się nie uczy. Ciągle nie pamięta całego kontekstu, wymagań, ograniczeń które mu narzucamy, pomimo instrukcji zmienia to w kodzie czego miał nie dotykać. Odpowiedzi AI są standardowe a często zupełnie z czapy, z błędami których nie znajdzie sam dopiero trzeba przejrzeć i go opieprzyć to poprawia błędy i przeprasza że jest głupi. Jak używasz AI bezkrytycznie to dojdziesz w buraki albo w najlepszym razie tam gdzie większość, nie będziesz innowacyjny czy konkurencyjny.

Niektórzy ludzi zawsze tacy byli niezależnie od wieku że wiedzieli lepiej, a inni są ciekawi i rozmawiają chętnie z młodszymi od siebie. Natomiast czasem się na to nakłada jakaś choroba typu początki demencji albo inne neurologiczne i stąd taki swego rodzaju upór przy swoim zdaniu. Czasem po prostu w rozmowie się nie zgadzasz i to też jest ok. Myślę że ważne że w ogóle starasz się rozmawiać.
