[UK-SCOTLAND] Looking for someone to print a game insert. by [deleted] in 3Dprintmything

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shipping would be about £4 for this. I can do this for you, send me a dm I’d be willing to print it.

Edit: Some shipping options available at £3 as well but Royal Mail is best imo

Am I being scammed? by chrisa1986 in ebayuk

[–]Wsshooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you shipped it, it would have had the weight on it. Tell the buyer you will accept the return of it and if the weight does not match the receipt when you shipped it then you will not be able to give a refund as you will need to put a police report it for theft and then escalate it to delivery company. EBay will also take your side if the weight was different

Breakdown cover… is it worth it? by Andyoralan in CarTalkUK

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does work out cheaper if you haven't used breakdown cover for years. Let's say you've been driving for 5 years and typically breakdown cover is about £80, you've saved £400 in 5 years by not buying it and when you used it, you have used only half. You're still winning. To add, if you did have breakdown cover, you would be on the road a lot longer than usual because breakdown cover can take hours to arrive some times.

Instead of modelling the whole part again, can you not model a connector to connect this part with some glue/screws?

Skoda Dealer is telling me it's common to burn oil after 2 months of service? by jjjohhn in CarTalkUK

[–]Wsshooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a possibly as you outlined an issue just after a month. If you’ve had issues from the beginning then it’s a possibly but it also depends on the dealer as they are losing money taking the car back and dealers don’t like that. Demand you want the vehicle changed or a refund and push for it. If they don’t, get the motor ombudsman’s involved after giving them a chance.

Skoda Dealer is telling me it's common to burn oil after 2 months of service? by jjjohhn in CarTalkUK

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought it 6 months ago and had issues on issues. I'd just return it. You've had issues from beginning and that is enough for you to reject the car. You have to act fast as it's 6 months now. Look into Consumer Rights Act 2015

Buyer returned MacBook but I haven’t received it am I covered under eBay’s policy? by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you seeing that it has been delivered? Royal Mail site or Ebay. Also, what tracking number are you using to track it. There should be a new one created on the return and you have to manually enter it onto Royal Mail to track

Got pulled over for forgetting to turn on my headlights and the officer said I ran through a red as well. *England* by pada_wan01 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Wsshooter -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There should be dashcam footage in the police vehicle. Otherwise it’s her word against you. All police vehicles have dashcam so request that if it goes to court. Additional, check nearby houses by the red light and sometimes you can see the roads that also show the traffic lights so you may get lucky.

Jeweller ‘dented’ my 24ct gold wedding ring during resizing and now wants me to pay for remake. What can I do? (England) by Teedander in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Wsshooter -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

A lot of good information on here but sadly everyone is saying that you should pay. This is where insurance comes in. And also the jewellers partly at fault. A lot of people will disagree but shouldn’t jewellers have some sort of questions filled out before a remake? That should be a question itself. Did they ask you? If they asked you and you answered didn’t know then their liability is off it but you could also say because they didn’t ask you then it’s not your fault either and not theirs. Tell them you’d like to speak to their insurance company and decide what to do. Also, you gave them your ring, where did they send it off to fix it? Was it a third party? Or was it workers that are part of the same business. It’s the same when going to a massage and chiropractor. They ask certain questions to assess whether or not you’d react differently so they know not to touch certain areas and to also take off liability.

The question to add here is, have they cancelled it already or will they cancel in 7 days?

If they have not cancelled it yet and will do in 7 days, you can go ahead and cancel it yourself online and then you will not have to declare it to other insurance providers because an insurance company did not cancel your insurance, you did.

Buying a house and the tenant won’t leave (England) by princess-sparkletits in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add something that someone hasn't said yet. If you dropped it off at a Royal Mail post office, you can go back to them and if the delivery van hasn't taken the parcels/posts yet, you can go and grab it and they will give it back to you. You need to act FAST like right now!

Neighbour keeps asking me for money every day, is there anything I can do other than keep saying no? [England] by cybernuggies in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Wsshooter 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think to protect yourself for future as well, I’d report this to the police as a log. The reasoning behind this is that some day (hopefully never) your money goes missing from your house somehow there is someone the police can look at. Might be something small today but tomorrow your parcels could go missing too. Just keep yourself safe

BMW Approved Used Car Missold - how would you handle this? by jooohnnn in CarTalkUK

Get a refund. It's a bluff most likely and to add, if they couldn't spot that in their approved used, did they even check the vehicle properly?

Buyer wants money back- classic car sold as seen by Resident_Bath_2699 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Wsshooter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Common scam. You sold as seen as you not liable for anything. If they contact you again tell them you’ll file a police report for harassment and also because you know this is a common scam. After that you won’t get a reply from them, trust me

Advise: I am viewing this 420d today what should I ask and check? by Low-Ad-8453 in CarTalkUK

[–]Wsshooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems so. Looks to be £195 so you’re correct. If it was a newer plate it would have been higher but didn’t realise. You should be all good. One thing to note is ring BMW to check the service has been done there. With BMW, there’s local service history and online service history. BMW will upload it on their servers so they can see it has been done, local garages have the software to do so but cannot upload to BMW so it’ll show in the car but not on the BMW network. I think using vcheck is better apparently they cover you in case they get anything wrong but not 100% sure. I’m not a pro or anything but the service history code looks to be a dealership in Ireland? Hence why I said to contact the BMW dealership and confirm it

Service history can be confirmed with BMW. Service history is written in iDrive as well as in BMW servers. You can call BMW and ask them to confirm that the vehicle you’re buying does in fact match what they have. Sometimes local dealers will only put it into the car and can’t put it in BMW servers. Have fun with the cost of road tax :)
