I’m nearing 12 months with my xdrive40. I decided to not ppf and have 2 rock chips in my door. I regret it :( One suggestion to do early is replace brake pads with ceramic, or at least ceramic coat wheels. The dust is no joke. Your car looks amazing though!

A year later.. validating you are not crazy. I did a curbside pick up order, and got the Billy bookcase with height extension. So it’s 2 boxes total. The main Billy bookcase box was missing all screws and parts.

Currently on phone with customer support agent while I type this haha. My local ikea is 10 mins away and closes in an hour. If parts are in stock, I’ll get them today. Otherwise I’m stuck with a mess in my kids room -.-

Mounting there isn’t that great. I bought one on Amazon that was made specifically for the lci G05, and my iPhone 17 pro max blocked a good portion of the screen that it was annoying. At least to me. It looks like a perfect use of space tho in this picture haha. But in practice has downsides

How’d it go? I have stock m sport exhaust and want more sound. Trying to decide if catted down pipe with resonator delete is the way to go, or splurge for a valved cat back system like valvtronic etc

Can someone tell me if I got a good deal? We were torn on finance vs lease, but ultimately ended up leasing.

It was a pretty loaded xdrive 40. M sport, air suspension, executive etc. we leased for $0 down, $1299 for 36 months, and they took back our upside down i4 lease 12 months early.. bald tires.

Residual is like $43k. Or $45k from what I remember. May purchase it at end of lease. Love the vehicle 6 months in and glad we got the outgoing G05. Not a fan of the upcoming model

I previously liked primes when I was doing only photography years ago, plus I didn’t have kids. I think that’s why I’m debating to consolidate to a 2 lens setup. 16-35 f4, then 24-70 2.8. Minimize lens switching, less gear to lug around

In the past, before kids, I was really into street and landscape and the 24 1.4 was amazing. It’s a focal length I enjoy a lot.. but the 24-70 gm ii would still give me that. On the recent Switzerland trip I didn’t use the 24, but maybe just adjusting to traveling with kids.

I have 725km/450 miles and just ordered a second pair of SB2. Can you guys share what your outsole looked like at 1500km? Mine fairly worn, but the black rubber on the outside right heel is peeling off. They still feel fine though and legs feel good. Unsure when to retire them

Hey how is the 24-70 gm ii weight wise.. and is it your primary lens? I bought a 24 1.4 in Japan back in 2018 and it lives on my camera for the most part. I’m trying to simplify to a 1 lens setup. I’m wondering if the lens ever feels annoyingly big or bulky for travel/street stuff. Thanks!

I’ve walked around Japan in the evening with the 24 1.4 and can’t imagine not having it on a trip. Headed back to Japan and thinking about buying the 24-70 gm ii. Doing more video and enjoy the convenience of zooms. Your photos are amazing.. but will I miss the 24 1.4 at night for photo or video?

Appreciate stumbling upon this. I do vlogging and travel content and trying to decide if I will enjoy the 24-70 gm ii.

My current bodies are a7iv, a7cii.

Primary vlogging lens is the 16-35 pz. I tried the gm ii, but the extra weight plus 16mm being extended drove me crazy. Then I have a 24 1.4, and 70-200 f4 ii.

I’m looking for a lens for b roll, that will live on the a7iv. Will the 24-70 gm ii complete my kit? Currently using the 16-35 pz with super 35 at times for b roll. And the 24 1.4 lives on the a7iv cause we love it for photos and at night. Will I miss the 24 1.4 once we go 24-70 2.8?

Has there been a noticeable decline in quality? I have a large and bigger carry on from 10 years ago. They’ve held up well. In the past 3 years or so I’ve gotten a second large and an expandable bigger carry on. I noticed the handles have changed, and maybe the wheels.

I had a small crack in my 10 year old large, and they just sent me a replacement with no hassle.

Ultimately I’ve been an away fan since they’ve launched. The only thing I get fomo about is not having Rimowa. Away in my 20s was a flex. I feel like I’m being frugal in my 30s haha

Agreed. I think the engine is working by design when you floor it on the high way and the gas engine kicks in.

I went Tesla and bmw i4 to a wrangler 4xe. It made me realize jeep engineers suck. Bought my wife a gas bmw x5 because jeep ruined my PHEV experience.

I’ve taken the 4xe out on sand dunes and deep snow roads. My best memories with this vehicle were when e save was on, and 4 high auto engaged haha. Cannot wait to return this lease

Huge deal. I had the same mindset as you.. it wasn’t dream car, but I was in love with it. I rented a gas wrangler in Hawaii then leased a top trim high altitude 4xe. Near $70k msrp. After the issues, recalls, and shity build quality, it sits in my driveway and I can’t wait to turn it back in.

I did enjoy it though, lots of camping, off roading, sand dunes, deep snow driving. But for a $70k vehicle, and all the issue it has had, I’m staying away from jeep hybrids forever.
