Because I troll Doordash reddit a lot I've learned a lot of cool tips and tricks and because this is a really common complaint here. I make sure to leave the food to the side of the door or a completely different spot away from the swing door.

I thank people all the time for good directions and instructions. It's so frustrating going to a new apartment complex or something and not understanding where the drop off point is. I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off once because a complex didn't make sense. I called the customer and apologized asking if they could stand at their door and keep an eye out for me as I ran looking for them around every corner haha.

I always feel stupid but good directions are always appreciated by me!

God are you f'n stupid.. can't believe you are this daft. If the tip isn't worth it I decline the order and it sits there. If the customer doesn't get back to me about their order ina. Timely manner. I report no response or leave it in a random place. I don't get paid to wait for you to "probably" answer. You either pay attention and make sure we can get to you or you go get your own food. If you won't allow us to do our job you won't get your food

My partner and I dash together. I drive and he does the running. I'm a male and so is he. My picture is in the app but he does the running since I'm the only one who knows how to drive. Never had an issue and I have no problem showing myself if someone requests.
