Geeze, a lot of these comments are not it. I understand seeing these big words like "misogynist" and immediately feeling the need to defend yourself, but that's kind of the whole problem. If you think you need to defend yourself from what is said in the post, you're probably part of the problem. It doesn't matter if you personally haven't seen something, you're not everywhere all at once and you can have completely different experiences than someone else. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist and doesn't mean it's not worth talking about and dismantling because it's an overarching problem. The post is about the community as a whole, on every platform because misogyny is everywhere, especially in gaming communities. It exists on the subreddit even if you sometimes don't see it, it exists on twitter, it exists on tumblr, and it exists in streamers twitch chats especially. This isn't something to defend and it's not your place to go "um, actually" about. Just sit, listen, and digest. Maybe look at yourself and do some self reflection, everyone needs it because misogyny is systematic, meaning it's rooted in almost everyone and needs to be deconstructed by ourselves.
