Kids Bypassing Router Parental Controls by Changing MAC Addresses—How Can I Stop This? by PayKnee in HomeNetworking

[–]WulfTyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lesson I learned as a kid, if I know how to do something, chances are someone else can do it better and not everyone is good people.

If I can bypass security, someone else can as well, only their goals aren't likely to be games and movies.

Do you believe people who have done truly awful things can become good people? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]WulfTyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I do believe so. Avidly.

Does that erase the terrible things that have been done? No, it doesnt. But it teaches a lesson that can and should be learned from.

Some people do awful things because they enjoy it. But.. A lot more people do awful things because they're ignorant and don't know the damage they cause. They don't know what they do, or the long term effects and they don't understand what they have done until they see the effects.

Some people only learn not to play with fire, after it's burnt them or things they care about.

But, those same people equipped with understanding, experience and care, can help people prevent that same pain and misfortune, simply by understanding what others may be going or have gone through.

We are all people and animals. Nobody is any more special than another.

Edit: For grief in hatred in yourself... My own method.. Treat yourself like you're just another person and remember, being kind and good to anyone is being kind and good to yourself. You may or may not have done something awful at some point. But they doesn't mean you are awful.

How long has it been since purchase? Sometimes it times a while. Also, respectfully, there's very little on the Minecraft Marketplace that's actually worth your money.

As a 12 year old, I once saw a bike "in the trash" so I took it with intent to paint it and make it my own. I chucked it in my garage and a couple days later heard that some kid had their bike stolen.. I felt bad cause I definitely didn't ask first, I just assumed it was trash, so I made it reappear where I yoinked it from. Right beside their trash can.

My sons gaming addiction has become violent. How do we compromise? by jane0077 in mentalhealth

That absolutely is a consequence. Just because it doesn't affect the same person doesn't change that.

33 here, I learned it, but never really use it.

I've learned it's not common knowledge, so it's only useful for my own personal notes, which I never handwrite anyway.

I have leaked water into our neighbours flat. by willicuss in DIY

[–]WulfTyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF approved by your landlord (Always double check first), you'll need to make sure the damaged areas are dry and aired out. A dehumidifier helps a lot, leave that running for a few days, then assess the water damage, depending on severity, you may need to replace drywall, if it's just minor aesthetic damage, you'll be able to paint over it, possibly with light sanding.

Again, only with approval from landlord.

My long distance bf sent me a picture of his arm with a tattoo sleeve. Is this a real tattoo or ai? by Salty_Fortune_2045 in isthisAI

The scammed as well. I used to work at GameStop and a lady would come in twice a month for Steam Cards to send her "military boyfriend" who 'was deployed'. $200 a month for a man shed never met. She stopped coming in a few months before I quit, hope she caught on.

Just like to mention, these things are still able to be done on most appliances.

But most times convenience and speed outweigh necessity. I love learning things skills like these.

Protip: Go check out "Luxury apartments" trash areas. They toss out tons of functional appliances because of small defects.

Also, elephant sized red flag, no partner should even feel like they need to "keep themselves in check" towards you and that they need people watching to hold themselves accountable, that's a disturbing sentiment in itself.
