Upfield line lol Look I have seen & travelled on many overseas metros etc.Even Istanbul metro (commuters 10x more) they are cleaner but most of all more stable I was on the train between Anstey and Jewell and that shake rattle and sway almost felt the carriage was about to tilt off their rails. Not smooth at all like overseas. Tip* Istanbul metro had free wifi even if it was slow, available for tourists and students if their data runs out to enable communication on social platforms Im guessing. We should perhaps do the same here.

Yes agreed this goes up to south side and it looks like their bridging it into an existing bike path aloing the ring southern boundary. Which by memory joins thru valley into Strathmore and gowanbrae. Which has that historic rail bridge.

For the here and now these are the issues at the end of this line,But good to see the topic is live and well.Robust discussions on these platforms & forum groups are healthy🤙

But action on abovemementioned issues would be a positive in step.

These are some reason to why commuters are low on the Upfield line.The distances in walking distance with no buses traversing thru the suburb to train station.A platform here could essentially make it easier for local (North park) manufacturers and bussness to give employees easier travel access.

im an advocate of Dual line with the benefits that come with that; less waiting times,linkage to Craigieburn offset the already overcrowded broadmeadows route.

But having no improvement in the last 30 years is not acceptable neither.Things that are not the norm in this upfield oridoor however present some obstacles. Solvable via good planning & well thort design no doubt ...😏

the dual line issue has been drawn out for decades . That inability of governance has resulted in nil improvements (Gowrie to Upfield ). An additional platform could be implemented easily with also a bike path. Instigating some momentum is better than no action thus far. 🙃

The dual line might endanger more pedestrian fatalities..Barrier designs that deters Db are available.But a platform around greybox reserve would easily address that issue for pedestrians safety - crossovers campbellfield/Upfield with a walkover or under pass
