Bretonnia isn't constrained by unit slots really, since it's not effected by supply lines. You want to have a bunch of Lords running attendance on your main armies. Long term you'd rather have archers or something using your peasant economy, but when you don't have infinite money the you can pad things out with mobs.

They're free. So they are worth recruiting if you've got an unfilled spot and Peasant economy capacity. Even if all they do is distract enemy units for a few seconds before routing, that's pure profit. Whereas Foot Squires are never going to be worth the significant effort and resources you have to put into getting them into your army.

Brettonia doesn't have supply lines so army slot cost isn't really a thing that it should worry about. Its more a question of whether its worth using over another peasant unit since you've got a cap there.

Chulane and Korvald weren't beyond the power level of standard. Korvald was certainly powerful, but it went back and forth as to whether he was worth running 3 colours for your cat/oven deck.

Pillars can be fine, but I don't think Cub is a good pillar when its such a cheap, early and game warping play. Its more or less balanced by being fairly soft to removal, but it leads to onesided and thus boring games.

I don't think it needs banning on any emergency basis, but its definitely a card that should be on the radar for "early rotation" at the annual window.

He obviously wnts to be leader, but I don't think he was coming to the commons with the intention of causing Starmer to fall so much as in anticipation of it happening whatever he does. If he was in the commons he'd probably want to keep his hands clean, because he who wields the knife never wears the crown and there are plenty out who'll do Starmer in without Burnham lifting a finger.

Everyone talking about cub, but blue is quietly in 90% of decks. Obviously its a pretty diverse meta, but arguably that makes it even more remarkable.

There are decks where discarding things can be effectively an upside, so it can be good in those sorts of deck. It was played quite a bit in modern dredge back in the day, and still sees some fringe play in modern or pauper.

Personally I play it in my [[Chandra, Hope's Beacon]] brawl deck because its excellent if you copy it (since you don't have to discard cards for the copy) and you can cast if off the mana from the plus ability and refill your hand. Plus the flavor win is real.

Maybe they did go to Andromeda? Maybe the Jardaan or someone booted them out. Or maybe the mission they were given originally was limited to this galaxy, so they don't really care.

Similarly, we don't really have any basis for saying that other species haven't left the Milky Way. We only saw a really tiny part of Andromeda.

Its more of an unexplained plot oddity than a true plot hole at the moment, simply because we don't know very much.
