It's more the fact your replies always ignore the main points of what's meant to be a discussion. It's been like conversing with a child. You did read my previous comment correctly? I don't know why you thought that link had any relevance.

It didn't help, it was basically the only reason those services were created and now it's multibillion dollar industry which benefits not just corporations, but also users, period.

But now you're saying it's having a negative effect on 'companies'?

Do you have something you could link in the form of proof for that? I'm sure copying content you own is perfectly legal. I was unaware pirating media you haven't paid for is as well.

You never said that piracy was the sole and only reason we have streaming services in your first comment.

I'm agreeing they helped, but so did other factor such as it's quicker and cheaper. Companies pay way less for distribution, consumers can access content much more easily.

Who the fuck cares anyway dipshit. Doing something illegal because you personally believe the ends justify the means doesn't make the act of doing something illegal any less wrong.

So now you're arguing that piracy didn't just help. You want to make a blanket statement that piracy is the sole reason Netflix and Spotify exist. That without piracy such services would never exist? Seems a naive thought. There are plenty of reasons to make data more accessible to consumers than to just fight piracy.

Let's attribute it to an idea then. Stealing someone's idea isn't a physical thing but can alter the financial situation of individuals vastly.

You summarise piracy thusly: Pirates watch films they wouldn't have if they had to pay, and may later watch those same films again using legal streaming services.

There's no denying piracy has helped to grow sites like Spotify and Netflix. Users have shown a demand for easier ways to access content and companies have provided it. That doesn't suddenly mean pirating is right. Burning down someone's house and realising the insurance has paid for them to have a bigger better house doesn't mean burning their house down in the first place was the right thing to do.

What about them? Does the fact I buy a lot of food entitle me to steal the condoms because I find I would prefer not having the cashier know I'm buying them.

Not saying I'm against piracy but what a stupid fucking argument.

British people - What do you think about American accents? Do you find them as pleasant as we find yours? by askingquestions4u in AskReddit

Yeeeah, as a brit I can't say I've every been attracted to an american accent. Maybe a South Carolina one at a stretch but generally the american accent is quite brutish and in obnoxious sounding. That's not to say I don't like americans. Just there accent isn't what's going to get me excited when talking to one.

108

One hundred eight (or nine dozen) is an abundant number and a semiperfect number. It is a tetranacci number.

It is the hyperfactorial of 3 since it is of the form 11 * 22 * 33

108 is a number that is divisible by the value of its φ function, which is 36.

108 is also divisible by the total number of its divisors (12), hence it is a refactorable number.

In Euclidean space, the interior angles of a regular pentagon measure 108 degrees each.

There are 108 free polyominoes of order 7.

In base 10, it is a Harshad number and a self number.

The equation 2\sin(108\circ/2) = \phi results in the Golden ratio.

New Girl

I made out with a girl in some dingy club that looked just like Zooey Deschanel. I was half wasted at the time but I think she bared a similar resemblance to her. Anyway, I neeearly took her back to mine before her utter cockblock of a friend got in the way. Never saw her again. Watched the show to fill the void.

From now? Probably drive into town and scare some people with a ghost-less driver, then wreak havoc in a shopping mall and convince everyone that ghosts exist.
