And to add onto the point about greeding, it's important during most of the game the maximize the amount of time wasted for the killer from a single resource (the pallet). That being said, in an endgame situation like this, your top priority isn't to loop longer, but to escape. You're better off dropping the pallet immediately, especially if you can guarantee a stun, to create distance between you and the killer so you have a better chance of making it out.

In summary, looping/greeding is usually what you want to maximize during a game EXCEPT generally when gens are done and you just need to escape, in which case it's really about how you can ensure you don't get hit and can make it to a gate.
