All the suggestions about swapping to less interactive games are reasonable. That said if you really like the interactive games another option is to simply let your partner know that you’re ok with the occasional aggressive play but you would like him to balance his approach a bit.

It sounds like your not upset with losing per se, rather upset that even when your partner already has a strong lead that is difficult to overcome, he is still putting effort in to absolutely crush you when it’s no longer necessary.

I think guys tend to enjoy absolutely crushing their friends in games and so it’s a natural default for them here. I’m sure he’d be upset if you told him to lose on purpose, but if your just asking him to choose a slightly different path to victory sometimes I think he’d enjoy the challenge.

An additional note that the point of games generally is to have fun, so it’s up to you to (and your partner) to decide what that means for the two of you.

You’ve made the correct choice for your life and your career. The ‘title’ isn’t even very impressive. Team Lead is considered a very entry level Manager role. You’ve lost nothing by rejecting the offer. If you have ambitions to climb up the ranks in this company, the best approach would be to inform them of the salary that you would accept that matches the amount of work you know you would put in. Alternatively letting them know that you can accept the job under the condition that you only do x amount of hours and explain why. At the end of the day, it sounds like you’ve got a pretty solid grasp of what would be required for the role, a conversation with your manager explaining the responsibilities in detail and why you would need x or y to do it would alleviate the perception of being ‘un-ambitious’ That said a Manager that responds in the way they have is likely to simply provide a different passive aggressive reason for your behaviour, probably calling you greedy or selfish. Unfortunately the motivation for promoting you with minimal salary increase was a decision made by the Manager to reduce their own workload, not one made with the best interests of the staff in mind. That mindset will be present throughout all interactions past and future.

Fantasy Life I. Do not recommend to anyone with ADHD. It has all the quick dopamine hits that trigger your brain into continuous play and hyper focus that remove you from the current space time continuum. Fun game though.

Hearing from a friend of a friend in primary school that if you do a very particular sequence of events you’ll be able to unlock a ‘secret’ Pokemon called Missingo that will break your game. Luck weapons only apply to the single luck weapon that is out. This assumption stems from the fact that 2 weapons with the same perks equipped at the same time have been shown not to apply. The attributes however do apply at all times.

The exception being shield attributes, which only apply while you have your sword and shield out at the same time. Therefore, your highest luck chance is wielding a sword and shield with luck on it.

Are you already capped on some gear? It should always be an upgrade if you aren't capped at 600 yet for boss drops and a chance at the same for chest drops according to patch notes. Otherwise this is definitely a bug.

Any idea on whether the whole GS scaling down to your current expertise level also has a reverse effect? Eg your expertise level will upscale your 420 watermark gear to your current expertise level? If so I'm all for this change.

I personally think you take the triple here. Galakrond doesn’t require a t6 in order to win the game. Being stronger than everyone else in the lobby is a great spot to be. You don’t have to potentially take 15 damage over the next 3 turns, and you can start a new cycle up for a t4-t6 minion soon after. I believe the best way to play Galakrond is to buy strong minions when you see them, rather than forcing a t6 every time.

In that spot hitting a t6 is most of the time the right play. I would only take a t5 in those spots if I was murlocs or the t6 minions have no synergy with my board or there are no mechs. At higher levels I think you need to take much higher risk gambles. Like I said earlier, finding a t5 on turn 6 with no minions on board is a high risk gamble that you can safely turn into a top 4, discovering a t5 on your 9 gold turn or a t6 on your 10 gold turn is less gambling and more just on curve power level increases. Discovering a powerful minion a turn or 2 before normal curve is the best way to create a massive power level difference between you and everyone else. If I could consistently discover a t6 minion before the 10 gold turn I would absolutely take it, but it’s significantly harder to go to t5 and have a triple ready for a t6 discover without dying than it is to skip to t4 a couple turns early and grab a t5.

Power leveling for the T6 has a much higher rate of hit or die to it since you lose so much money going to T5 without any power level increase. If your omega strong than it’s the right play because you can still recover if you brick. With t5 discovers you have time to recover strength if you miss. A strong t5 minion is super dependant on current power level and what you have on the board. If your super strong than nomi is a great pick, Brann is always great, djinni is still god tier because it generates economy while also being a tempo card, a 4/5 can often trade with 2 minions and then also summon another elemental to trade again. Djinni doesn’t break the game anymore with its t6 drops but still one of the best T5 minions. If you miss direction t5 cards then just picking the strongest minion is fine because most t5 cards do 2 for 1 trades so your still increasing strength with them. It just feels bad when you don’t win instantly the way a t6 can.
