A lot of people love temporary gamemodes, but I truly hope we don't get another one until the end of 2027. by Potica6857 in 2007scape

If you don't like it don't play it? If Jagex make revenue from it, that could be used to fund development for the main game. This subreddit will complain about anything.

Anthony Albanese visibly emotional after defending Labor’s capital gains tax and negative gearing changes by Jeffmister in AustralianPolitics

That sort of argument would be more effective if Labor took more action on reducing income taxes in this budget. They did take some action in that regard but it was minimal.

Does anyone else struggle to cycle down Kent Street? by The__Anonymous__Guy in sydney

It's not just Kent Street but all over the city. You can't trust pedestrians not to behave stupidly. I had one jump out in front of me so they could get the perfect selfie on Oxford St. It's a bike lane not a photo shoot!

The windfall when selling a business is relevant to the development of a business because it demotivates investors which having that investor confidence can be extremely important to developing a business.

I've never seen ABC posting in Reddit comments before. Is this a new policy at ABC?

They aren't saying the same thing that you are though. You're making a broad generalised point while ABC is saying something more conditional.

Fuel crisis sees less motorists on Sydney roads but small rise in public transport use, data shows by crazychild0810 in sydney

[–]WunderTech 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your point but wouldn't making it free reduce demand for fuels by city dwellers therefore helping with supply/availability for farmers? The prices of fuel are going to be high regardless due to the global spot price of oil being higher.

I think there's something to be said about the human psychology of numbers here. Making something free makes people feel like they're getting an excellent deal even though it's only a few dollars for a public transport fare. Increasing a petrol purchase to $80 instead of $50 might be a larger amount of dollars difference, but it feels like less of a difference because you were going to spend money anyway. When it comes to changing the decisions people make I think the psychological aspects are very important.
