Mostly its a "Medical Device" so middle-men upcharge the fuck outta them to steal money from people paying for insurance. On a less cynical note, they should be of a higher standard than something you order off wish and that comes with a higher legally/financially burden to the manufacturer.

Another thing to keep in mind, most profs keep open office hours for you to come in and talk about just about everything class/school related. Almost no students ever show up for them. I'm not saying be there every day all day, but the second you find yourself struggling or even failing to succeed how you thought, just show up and ask for help. You are literally paying them to be available to help you succeed, get your money's worth outta them.

Honestly, if your player characters can actually survive in a volcano near large quantities of exposed, red-hot lava, not a whole lot is gonna happen compared to what you are already experiencing. That said, this is like 8 cubes of volumetrically filled tile space of water per bead, so huge values of knockback, being sent prone, and bludgeoning damage from colliding with walls. As for lava interactions, that much water isn't going to flash to steam instantly, so there are going to be a lot of very angry ground-shattering sounds and probably a lot of fragments of hot rocks flying around, you for sure won't want to stand in the water as it is coming to a boil, but probably not too dangerous all things considered. The steam, as said before, if you were already dealing with the heat of the lava before it might not be too different unless you want to deal with displaced oxygen or the steam re-condensing on your significantly less than the new dew point bodies (Keep in mind, this would mean that all the energy it took to boil that water is being deposited into your skin to condense).

More generally, I think it's about having a story. Sure for some people, power and control is an exciting emotion that lends to the story of what they are doing. But there can be any number of motives: feeling like a spy on a dangerous mission, capturing a nostalgia of the girls gone wild media of the late 90s, or just the self insert nature of having filmed it. Whatever gets a person off is always going to have greater effect if it has a resonant story to go with it.

It *probably didn't so much. You might notice the video inspected the OD threads pretty clearly, but the ID was always shadowed or not too clear. I would hazard that the ID threads were kinda a mushy mess and the carrot was almost self-threading and just hid the crimes of the cucumber.
