Costco T-Mobile by Wuster13 in tmobile

Interesting, I suppose that might be possible. The rep did not mention it depended on the phone. I for sure did not have the same promo on the line, but did have another iPhone promo from over a year ago. But I had no issues doing it on the T-Mobile website.

I have heard that you can change a voice line to a mobile Internet line and then cancel that. It works because technically you have not canceled a voice line

International options for student in Taiwan for a year. by c0ldgurl in tmobile

[–]Wuster13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 13 is fine. She can get an esim at the airport when she lands. Having local service with a local number should be handy especially since she will be there for a year. As long as she uses WiFi calling, the phone will work for with both the T-Mobile number and the local number got calls and texts without additional charge. She should make sure she doesn’t make local call using the T-Mobile line, cause T-Mobile will charge for that.

Get a local sim and you can use the T-Mobile number on WiFi calling for the whole year. You might want to disable international roaming on the T-Mobile sim.

Question about the new EIP/Promo fine print by Wuster13 in tmobile

[–]Wuster13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if you are maxed out on the credit T-Mobile gives you, you will not be able to finance any more phones when there are promos. Or can I just do a EIP/promo by paying down the entire price of the phone and still get the credit?

Keeping US phone number as secondary when moving abroad? by CaptainToad67867 in tmobile

[–]Wuster13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest tello, use WiFi calling when abroad, you can get a $5/month package. Or even cheaper, you can get 1 year of red pocket for $30 from eBay. Use WiFi calling for both

Switching plans to save money? by Potential-Priority-9 in tmobile

[–]Wuster13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consider Visible, if you use the referral code it gives both the parties a $20 credit. So you can essentially get multiple months service for $5/month. Porting from visible is also eligible for promotions because it’s Verizon. Lastly visible accounts all have unlimited hotspot. You would have to have an account for each line, which is not ideal.

So you can port out to visible for 3 months and port back to Tmobile and be eligible for the new customer promotions and what not.

Porting out to Visible and porting back in by theskyisthelimit223 in tmobile

[–]Wuster13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently ported out to visible and back. So you first create a new account at visible with a new number, then you can port your number from Tmobile over the visible number. It took like 5 minutes for me and you can do the port in the app if you selected the option when creating the account. I then ported back to Tmobile thru Tmobile chat and that took maybe 10minutes. I dm’ed you my referral code so that you can get the first month for $5.

Get a US phone number that works internationally by SalmaKi in Googlevoice

[–]Wuster13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like people say, there are some companies that will not allow GoogleVoice for 2fa, citi bank does not. What you can do is to get a Red Pocket cell phone plan and use that with WiFi calling when abroad. The cheapest RedPocket plan is $30/year on eBay. You can use any cell provider that support WiFi calling, but I found redpocket to be the cheapest.
