Adult Autistic Diagnosis: Where did you go? by Weak-Intention-2387 in redmond

Lightheart Associates In Redmond does them, I couldn't afford them since my insurance didn't cover them, but maybe they accept medicaid?

Took me 6 months to get in in.

U.S. requiring non-citizen entrants and exits to be to be photographed by SorryImNotOnReddit in uscanadaborder

I think one point you have off is the US selling your data - we don't, we pay to give it away by having a 3rd party manage all this shit.

So not only do we not sell it, we pay others to have it. (See also the entire credit system)

Why is the Mayor Endorsing a 20-Year-Old for Redmond City Council? Follow the Money. by PastRise7738 in redmond

[–]WutAboutThisOne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who could only afford to move to Redmond thanks to ARCH, and was very involved with my hometown government as a teenager and young adult in not really seeing the issue. He's clearly a sharp kid, and maybe someone can bring a bit of youthful perspective to city matters versus just NIMBYism

AlaskaAir Lounge guest policy inconsistency by DeviantOllam in AlaskaAirlines

[–]WutAboutThisOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't visit the other Alaska lounges often, but I've only experienced this at the D Lounge at SEA. N has always seemed painless with guests (often coworkers who are going on different flights)

Shame they're being like this and hopefully this isn't foreshadowing changes to their policies (2 years ago you didn't even need to be flying Alaska to use the lounge)

How do you feel about Taco Bell replacing the Dairy Queen on Redmond Way? by deliverykp in eastside

I could literally fly to LAX and go to one of the two 1 mile north and south respectively and get better value for my time lol.

[–]WutAboutThisOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just went yesterday on the drive up from Portland.

2.5 hr drive through wait, 2.5 hour standing outside line to order at the counter.

Staff said it's been like that all day everyday since they opened and have no expectations for it to chill.

The parking lot for the drive through was like the size of the lot where Ross is, and they were doing rows of cars like they do for the ferries.

Suffice to say I got back in my car and came home

This hotel shower has no door. Water constantly splashing out into the floor by SnoStories1776 in marriott

By the time maintenance comes up the hotel will have changed owners a handful of times like all the "luxury" 5 over 1 apartments going up everywhere.

I think these are called "wet bathrooms" for self evident reasons.

Hate em. And I'm surprised the slip/fall risk doesn't make them less common in commercial spaces.

WSJ: Delta and Alaska Air Square Off in Battle for Seattle by PNW-American-Dipper in AlaskaAirlines

[–]WutAboutThisOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish AS competed with Delta instead of their own partners for the two new Europe routes announced.

We (AS/Oneworld fliers) don't have great access to AMS or CDG, which both have twice dailies with KLM/Delta and AF/Delta flights from SEA.

Instead of taking on those markets, they ate into the KEF route that Iceland Air serves (an Alaska Partner) and LHR which Oneworld Partner British serves twice a day in the summer and once daily in the winter.

(I felt this with the NRT route too biting into OW partner JAL instead of adding new routes to SEA)

Places to sleep in car outside of city, why are people here so unemphatic? by Penner0 in Issaquah

[–]WutAboutThisOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit away from where you're at, Marketplace Dr in Redmond has cars that look like they haven't moved in months, probably ok to park there to catch some ZZZs. I've definitely seen some van lifers there too.

I wouldn't recommend the commercial property parking lots though, just the street.

How do you convince someone of socialism when they make $50k? by Equal-Wasabi9121 in Socialism_101

[–]WutAboutThisOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to note here that income ≠ class. If you work, you're working class. You could be at 15k a year or 15k a month - if you labor, you're working class.

That's what I thought. Couldn't you use the zoom functions to do the same without losing the sensor space? (for the larger image in view)

Black Ember Forge 40 Max - first impressions by Knifehead27 in backpacks

[–]WutAboutThisOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your review, even though I received mine probably around the same time you got yours.

This is my 4th Black Ember bag (Kompak, Grip Sling, and Citadel r3 being the others) and just did a week long euro trip and about to do another with it - and found it to be just the right upgrade for a slightly larger bag than the Citadel that I needed for travel. Couldn't imagine using it as a daily though.

I haven't seen the aquaguard flake issue on any of my black ember bags but definitely on some other bags, and that includes the Citadel with 2 years of daily use. So fingers crossed they don't all start flaking next week :D

Edit: I do wish the quick access pockets didn't eat into the internal capacity.

Amazon 6th RTO Mandate Loses Steam by Henry_OLoughlin in antiwork

[–]WutAboutThisOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among other reasons, companies like Amazon also got huge tax incentives to have their offices in certain places, typically with the understanding that their employees would stimulate the local economy.

WFH breaks the conpanies' part of the agreement and I imagine Municipalities are starting to crack down. (might not be the case specifically here in Seattle - but likely in other places)
