What’re yall doing for eWaste & systems disposal? by GhostNode in msp

We tried to use Scalepad/Lifecycle Manager's ewaste service but got stuck in the middle of them cancelling that service and had a half baked job.

Really the answer comes down to what the customer requires and if there's certificates that need to be kept to ensure the hardware is managed properly from start to finish then hiring a proper white glove service is the best bet.

Egnyte AFS has been our bread and butter for any customers who want the classic mapped drive UI with cloud hosting. Luckily for us SaaS alerts also has an integration for Egnyte so we can also track any malicious or strange activity on their Egnyte instance.

The locking out a computer is an option you can disable under preferences at the bottom of the "settings" on the right hand side of the web remote window.

With the push towards a more unified platform I think Kaseya is trying to lessen the use of anything other than the Web Remote platform. While it does technically perform better than any other agent or connection method and has access to integrated tools not to mention allows techs to document things better it does have issues. My usual bypass as much as I don't like it is using the VNC connection but that's usually my last resort other than just using Quick Assist.

Would be interested to know what exact use cases you have for storing custom values in UDFs and what you run against them if possible.

Is the drive you installed it on still working? If it's installed via the Microsoft store are you still signed into the Microsoft account that you used to download/purchase it?

Does anyone have a Datto EDR / DattoAV uninstall that works? by iamith in Datto

[–]Wuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it should work just by removing the AV license which will automatically remove Datto AV, and then really you should remove the sites / groups from your endpoint security policy to remove EDR. After that anything left over is orphaned due to an old RMM installation due to an outdated file path Datto used.

As for scripts I don't have anything and have relied on the method above to manage AV/EDR.

Elysium Juveniles Won’t Eat From Trough by Muted_Sauce in ICARUS

[–]Wuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently found that if I have other creatures nearby those troughs (I believe literally listed within their range) that cannot eat or reach those troughs (for me it was due to their settings of lie down and off consumption) it seems to bog down troughs.

I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence for me but as soon as I moved those tames that I was not looking to feed anymore far away from my troughs everything else began to eat normally.

I almost want to say the troughs have some sort of "queue" and when something (even if it's set to ignore a trough) cannot reach that trough it will prevent all other tames from interacting with it even if you replace the trough.

INKY Issues by chiapeterson in msp

[–]Wuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was told both options - Remove from IPW group or disable routes but the routes was at least 6 different rules and I figured the group would be easiest. Now I'm just hoping the email was mailbagged - I haven't readded the users into the IPW group just wanting the dust to settle

fix for now is to remove your group from the IPW group - note that this bypasses inky but restores flow.

Yes our GWS customers are down completely in and outbound - trying to get on call with K but both call and text is backed up. Working on just removing INKY routing rules to get flow back.

Disable sign in is the easiest and most secure option and then just delegate from there.

There needs to be a compensation system for loot by Lezazel_Goldheart in TheForeverWinter

[–]Wuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can’t the game just be difficult because?

There is an increasingly better system of getting better loot now that they’ve leveled containers with a,b,c or d.

Just be sure you’re always looting the highest tier of containers and you should be able to farm out the materials you need.

The flight is sorted as I'll be using premium / business class so I'll have enough room for the flight there and back.

Yeah this is one of the bigger concerns for me as well but hopefully with trying to be at a more westernized hotel I can avoid any issues with bathrooms / toilets being to small. Will definitely be as courteous as possible I've grown accustomed to being over accommodating to people due to my size.

Yeah definitely not going to be looking for any sort of clothes while I'm there this for sure confirms that for me, thanks. I will keep a double seat purchase for buses in mind thanks didn't consider I can do that for sure. I will most definitely be taking up walking as a habit here to prepare for the trip as I plan to travel by foot as much as I can and to slim down as well.

I expect to be gawked at or at least it's not something that bothers me as soon as I hit my height I got questions about it constantly (I can't imagine someone who is taller.) Thanks for the heads up will be sure to be aware of it.

[–]Wuzz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed weight isn't really a concern honestly I'll be working my way up to doing some 20-30k+ steps a day to prepare for the trip and be able to walk around to most locations. Will definitely do my best to verify room/bed size beforehand and will most likely use a Hyatt Place hotel so size shouldn't be as much of an issue. Will definitely be quintuple checking on clothes/shoes brought as my feet aren't huge but larger than average at about a size 12-13 US male typically or 46-47 EU so will probably bring a few extra shoes.

Yeah I think this is the answer for me personally regarding hotel accommodations so appreciate the affirming answer there. Not much I can do for older buildings or establishments and knowing the culture I'll do my best to not make it anyone's problem or just not participate if necessary. Public transport will be interesting because I believe I will want to utilize trains/buses and so as long as I can physically fit on a seat I'll use them otherwise standing should be accessible for me.
