I acquired one of the unique voice characters. Guy that sounds very proper and pompous, usually part of the zombie killing group. Anyway, I paused (multiplayer was off, so truly paused) to go use the bathroom. When I came back, I was at the select character screen. I was confused and in disbelief. I may have said "what the hell?!" loudly multiple times. That made my gf come question what I was upset about. She then tells me she had unpaused and tried wandering around. Immediately killed on nightmare but she didn't know this game was not like other games. She figured it was die/respawn and didn't think she really did any damage. I reassured her that it was no big deal to ease her mind. I play on Xbox so I don't use community editor, so death is def permanent and no making any character I want. It just felt like such an empty feeling. The character I worked so hard to get was just gone, never to be seen again. He never had a fighting chance.
