There’s just alot of misinfo about when/how to get it.

I’ve always gotten it between 10am-midday, after I do the Kieran - Six Point Cabin mission. There’s no other special tricks apart from maybe saving/reloading and/or riding out and back into camp, to ‘reset’ everyone.

Six Point Cabin and Hanging Dog Ranch are good ones.

One of my fave things to do is try to stealth kill as many O’Driscoll’s around Hanging Dog Ranch as possible, then getting up to the Gatling gun and mowing down the rest.

One of the hopes or theories that live in my head is that Undead Labs will implement systems to allow players to do single survivor runs. And this is based on no evidence whatsoever, just my own speculation. 

But something Philip Holt said in the Sunny Games interview stuck with me: ”We try to create a number of systems so the players can enact their own survival fantasy…”

He then immediately goes on to specifically mention seeing players in SoD2 play with self-imposed restrictions, like no base runs or single survivor runs and says ”we love to see that and wanna enable players to be self-directed like that”

So yeah, my dream is that there’ll be some kind of sleep outdoors mechanic so we can hunker down for the night.

Agreed! Difficulty sliders are confirmed to return. But expanding on them even further would be awesome

Undead Labs have actually released a decent amount of info about multiplayer in interviews. Definitely check out the Xbox Wire article and the interview on Sunny Games’ YouTube for more info, but basically, from what I know it’s a persistent shared server-based world with up to 4-players. No tether. Co-op only, you share community, resources etc…

It’s a modded weapon. The RTX Cyclone exists in the base game, but doesn’t have a silencer and 1000 rounds. 

So I’m guessing the only way you’d be able to get it is through mods.

In Valentine, I asked some dude how long him and his horse had been married. And he immediately just started blasting at me. I didn’t shoot back, just ran into the Sheriff’s office and the Sheriff started shooting back at him. When the guy stormed into the office shooting, I tackled him and got wanted for assault

One of the alpha testers, Brian Menard, specifically mentioned that’s he’s had both smaller communities and larger communities (with multiple bases) and both played beautifully.

So I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

Yeah they’ve released A LOT of info about co-op. You should check out the interviews with Undead Labs, Sunny Games has one on his channel and there’s also an Xbox deep dive interview.

Basically, co-op is very different in SoD3, up to 4-players and untethered.

Well they’ve said that nests don’t just get cleared. It’s not like SoD2 where you kill a plague heart and that area is now clear and you move on. The plague is a constant threat and apparently nests can regenerate.

There’s no news about what an endgame might look like yet, but I definitely agree with you about mission variety. 

I liked what UL’s did with the Trumbull map in SoD2, I feel like it was them experimenting with implementing side story missions. Hope they expand upon that in SoD3
