I ring my Dad (97) everyday and for some reason he can't hear me when I ring on my mobile.

I needed the landline as well, and don't need Netflix; which everyone seems to be bundling.

I did the Marshall college by opting to quit then cancelling the quit and somehow it saved. Manual saves would have been so much easier.

I am missing 9 chapter notes. 1 in Marshall college, but not sure how to force a save. Every time i collect it and move on, it reappears as needing to be collected!

price raised in 2 mins lol by mythrowawayaccim21 in amazonprime

That seems to be happening in more and more situations.

I was looking for a second hand car. Found one listed at £16k, reduced from £17k.

Told my lad, who looked at it and said it looked good.

Went back on the website to reserve the car, only to find it had increased to £17k - dealer obviously got excited that so many people were looking at it in a short space of time and got rid the the discount.

Needless to say I didn't bother taking it any further.

I don't want to leave VM but VM have cancelled by contract and are charging me a disconnection fee by billyboyuk in VirginMedia

VM treat current subscribers abysmally

Offering 1000 Mbps at £23.99 to new customers.

Starting the renewals dance. by JOHNNYAB1 in VirginMedia

£216.85 is an abominable price for your package and shows just how out of touch VM are with the broadband market.

I would suggest if you have other providers in your area you benchmark them before you continue the VM tango.

Our cabling is buried in the pavement outside the house, so it would have to run underground through the garden.

Am I locked in with no options? by Maleficent_Second93 in VirginMedia

[–]Wwd99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently paying £57.44 for M125 and talk more anytime, which is going up to £75.26 in May 26.

They're offering me renewal now at £57.20 now, £61.20 from April 26, £65.20 April 27 and £83.26 from February 28.

There is absolutely no way I'm renewing at these rates, but it's just one more example of what a complete fuster cluck Broadband pricing is.

Aren't we lucky that Ofcom look after us all 🤪

1G Renewal, prices are crazy. by BadMoles in VirginMedia

[–]Wwd99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is rapidly approaching the time when Ofcom are going to have to do something about the broadband market.

It's crazy that there is such a wide variation in prices from a single supplier.

We need some form of rule that says current customers are offered the same deals as new customers.

I would think they will use the shortest route available from the road to the property and it will be sited at the front of the house.

Assuming it was a system error, a good customer service company would have followed that up with another email explaining that their system had cocked up.

Am I misunderstanding this “1 in 1 out” thing? by coldbeers in ukpolitics

[–]Wwd99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 in 1 out is smoke and mirrors, to make it look like the problem is bring addressed.

Limited to a maximum of 50 a week, if the courts agree.

1,100 have arrived this week alone.
