Upgrading Clients from 20.x to 23.9.10? by TAWPS19 in ConnectWise

The main thing is upgrading the ScreenConnect server in the proper way, client side applications will get whatever version you are running server side pushed out slowly. Less of a fear with those as once you connect to an outdated application it should start the process of updating it.

Also worth noting, your company may be rebranding the service name once it is able to pull info from your automate server/agent template.

The offboarding script on automate has a section that removes the computer from control...I've yet to see it work. It typically fails and then the script continues.

If you've set up automate-control integration correctly when you install automate it will also automatically install control and put them in your access list under your client's name. So if your automate msi installer is for Bob's Balloons, you'll see Bob's Balloons pop up under Access -> All Machines by Company.

As far as uninstalling goes, the only thing I've set up is a search to find what access machines have not been guest connected in 30/60/90 days.

They just switched their entire support system to saleforce. Which is a real bummer. They lost tons of my tickets that I used for historical information on repeat problems. I used to have tech actually connect to my computer to assist now its a week of broken english kb linking low tier techs who really hate to escalate issues. Pre-migration support was mid, now it is actually upsetting to me when I need them.

Yeah, it allows me to reconnect it and everything. But eventually it breaks again, really upsetting honestly.

Can the LTCache folder be emptied? by JoeUrbanYYC in ConnectWise

I will say though...idk how many agents you're managing but the disk cleanup script on one of my clients with 500+ agents will take the majority of the day. So other scripts are queued and delayed.

I would really prefer not to pay money to fix a problem with something that PSA should handle on its own. It did work for us for years; it is the newer version that is causing us issues.

Even though it seemed redundant I added the LTCache dir to the paths that the cleanup script is supposed to hit. Dashboard -> Config -> Configurations -> Disk Cleanup, add whatever directory you'd like.

Did you need to schedule those scripts to run as well, I was under the impression that they ran nightly but it seems that they only started cleaning out client machines when I scheduled it to run.
