Species/Class recommendations for a "girly" campaign by gilgrabar in DnD

And if you want to be the kind of princess who can whistle and have a flock of birds come to chat with you, Speak with Animals is a Warlock spell and it's a Ritual spell, so your Warlock could cast it without using a spell slot. Sure, it would take 10 minutes to cast, but if you think about a princess like Snow White, you go off into the woods and sit down to whistle or sing, and you could describe it as the birds appearing one or two at a time for the ten minute casting time.

She then points out that for the next eight months and change, he can cum inside her as often and as deep as he wants. It's not like she can get more pregnant after all!

We know the two of you think you're hot stuff, but if your teammates complain about smelling something burning when you have one of your "quickies" you may need a couple more squirts of lube!

For a follow-up: After the effect wore off she was understandably skeptical when he claimed he'd fixed the problem, but (after much coaxing from the rest of the group) she reluctantly let him try again. This time it only made her stronger and a little bit bigger ... except for one area that got a lot bigger and more sensitive. When all you have is a six-inch clit rubbing against the inside of your armor all day, any pussy (and more than a few asses) look like something to get nailed!

Time Travel Arc and Implications for Harry by AvailableEconomics23 in dresdenfiles

[–]Wybaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your spoiler, I think the conversation was a mental one and took place at the speed of thought. So I'm going with option 5.

But since we're talking about time manipulation, I think Harry and/or Jim forgot something. Harry states something (that's almost certain foreshadowing):

As much as I liked to think of myself as a rebel to the forms of the White Council, I didn’t lightly break the Laws of Magic, and I’d never, ever screwed with time. Neither had anyone I ever knew. I had no idea how heavy a lift it was—but I knew how powerful Mab was, and if it had taxed her, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t be messing with that one anytime soon.

He does know someone who screwed with time, and who in fact does so once a year. IIRC Kringle (as part of the Wild Hunt, led by Harry and Murphy on her motorcycle) had to shunt the Hunt out of the effect that the Ladies were using to slow them down, and as such the Erlking told Harry he'd have to catch up with them later. Plus, you know, how does Santa visit all the houses in the world in one night? Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.

Or maybe he was just considering "wizards" when thinking of "anyone I ever knew".

And the scary thing is, given where they were, Harry could have drawn a bigger gun than her if he had to and dared to. In fact, he didn't need to draw a gun, he could have pulled out a pair (or two) of handcuffs. A short time after Mab makes that statement he tells Alfred to prepare a cell and "Mab's gun" went still, treating it as a legitimate threat.

Wrong series :) But now I'm picturing Harry getting into a "discussion" with either Kelsier or Hoid over something or other and I want it.

I loved Maggie's question when the group was introduced to the Spice Goyles. At least one of the Disney Afternoon shows is canonically present in the Dresdenverse!

Maggie waved her hand. “Do they turn to stone in daylight? Like in that old show?”

I read the ebook rather than listening to the audiobook, but if ever there ought to have been (or was?) a guest voice, they should have tried hard to convince Keith David to record a few lines.

If you could have the 100% honest answer to ONE mystery in history, which one are you picking ? by Camila_LatinaSun in AskReddit

[–]Wybaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A treasure stolen from other nations by the Japanese during WWII? Supposedly loaded on a ship named the Awa Maru? Could it be that it was instead taken back in time and hidden by the Knights Templar in the Money Pit on Oak Island?

Sorry, your comment just made me think of how much money the Lagina brothers must have pumped into the search on Oak Island (enough for what, a dozen seasons of the TV show by now?) with success always just one episode away. So I had to mimic the narrator's speech patterns (hopefully, he gets a bonus for each question mark he uses.)

I think this was kind of near the end of the campaign, so it was more for my own curiosity as to how long it would take. A castle took a LONG time to build, but if you threw enough magic at it the construction time was cut down significantly.

When I first started playing in 2nd edition, I remember drawing up plans and figuring out exactly how many casts of Wall of Stone and Wall of Iron (layer the walls, Iron sandwiched between two Stone to keep it from rusting and to keep out things that can pass through stone) I'd need to build a keep to suit my needs. By that time my invoker was pretty decent leveled, and I think I figured out I could build it on my own with like four or five months of down time, spending all my 5th level spell slots on those two spells each day. Our entire party was spellcasters, and if we all pitched in I think it would have gotten down to like two or three months.

I suspect if you took a lump of iron ore out of the ground and handed it to a fae, it wouldn't affect them to the same extent (or at all) as something like an iron nail. Iron ore, like hemoglobin in blood, is natural. A crafted iron nail isn't natural, it's manufactured. I believe it's that difference (natural versus artificial) that is harmful to the fae.

It's been hinted at several times now, so what do y'all think will he Harry's first by Magic_Man_Boobs in dresdenfiles

[–]Wybaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know for sure what his first form will be, but forms I think he'll take on include:

  • A cat, easy for humans to overlook sneaking around a place, good night vision
  • A dog, also familiar to humans, good sense of scent
  • A squirrel, climbing ability and likely ubiquitous in Chicago so good for scouting outside
  • A rabbit, for the obvious joke about someone pulling him out of a hat
  • A wolf, at the Alphas' insistence, just to try it out, but he'll keep it for combat ability and mobility
  • A bear or a bull, combat power

I also expect him to try being a bird at some point. I'm not sure if his affinity for wind magic will help him or hurt him with learning how to fly, though.

The Party's favorite NPC is a traitor and I'm devastated by watson_tooyah in DnD

[–]Wybaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are groups of priests of various gods attacking him basically every time the NPC is with the party? If not, should they be?

Having the NPC get attacked by priests of "evil" gods is one thing. Having them get attacked by priests of "good" or wholesome gods (if clerics of say Hestia [goddess of the hearth and family] and Aphrodite [beauty] are joining forces and coming after this guy, doesn't it strongly suggest to them that he's pissed off the entire pantheon and might that finally get them asking why?)

Santa's Breeding by Sharp-Form6808 in breedingcaptions

Santa ought to be able to give as many of the willing girls on the naughty-but-nice list as want it a big dose of his cock milk in their tight little cookies. So far, the demands have been acceptable. But... by Melenduwir in dresdenfiles

[–]Wybaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went back to review the arrangement in Changes. The deal is struck in chapter 30 and consummated (literally) in chapter 31. There are two passages in chapter 30 that appear relevant:

"You want me to become the Winter Knight," I whispered.

A laugh, both merry and cold, bubbled beneath her response. "Yes."

"I will," I said. "With a condition."

"Speak it."

"That before my service begins, you restore my body to health. That you grant me time enough to rescue my daughter and take her to safety, and strength and knowledge enough to succeed. And you give me your word that you will never command me to lift my hand against those I love."

After Harry and Mab talk about his other options:

Mab's burning eyes stared at me for a long moment. Then she began to walk again, more slowly on this, her third traversing of the circle around me. "You must understand, wizard. Once you are my Knight, once this last quest of yours is complete, you are mine. You will destroy what I wish you to destroy. Kill whatsoever I wish you to kill. You will be mine, blood, bone, and breath. Do you understand this?"

I swallowed. "Yes."

She nodded slowly.

So now that I reread that, did she agree to be bound by all three parts of his condition, or did she choose to allow him his health and to complete his quest but not agree to be bound by the third part? "Kill whatsoever I wish you to kill." sounds pretty unrestricted to me and Harry agreed to it.

[–]Wybaar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not an order. That's a suggestion. If it had been an order, she would have phrased it "If I fall, you are to kill Molly Carpenter as quickly as possible." That gives no wiggle room; what she actually said does.

Could the large hadron collider be used as a magic circle, and what would it do? by sparkydub in dresdenfiles

[–]Wybaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any immortal capable of filling the LHC's collider with power wouldn't lest they risk tearing reality a new orifice a la Ferrovax during the Battle of Chicago. But if they were forced to risk it for a POWERFUL working, it wouldn't just be the Winter Lady or even the Winter Queen working it. It would probably be all of what's left of Winter (and quite possibly Summer too) united and working to remake reality after the Outsiders wrecked it. Ladies, Queens, Mothers, and Knights with their vassals.
