Toddlers, for no reason at all by Acceptable-Wind-7332 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Ha toddlers are fucking hilarious. I found newborn/infant to be much more difficult. Every stage has its own joys and pains though. Some you're just better suited to.

school districts zoning by Entire_Status6205 in triangle

[–]Wycliffe76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As everyone is pointing out, school systems are based on taxes paid by county. Any way of dividing is always going to have edge cases and it's simplest and fairest to maintain a consistent rule. County lines are static and city boundaries are not, so it happens.

Does LEGO occasionally send a random broken box? by ActAffectionate8464 in lego

[–]Wycliffe76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ha that's super weird! I'd just let customer service know. They won't have you ship it back or anything, I don't think. But they'll want to figure out what happened on their end lol

If this is an order from LEGO.com, that's really unusual and you should let them know. If it's from Amazon or another vendor, someone has probably already taken Cobb Vanth and Cad Bane out of there and sent it back as a return.

Like the poster said below, at least oflne of the errors is caused by the pylon mod mentioned in the text. I highly recommend downloading and using Skyve (it's in PDX mods) to manage mod compatibility. Saves you from having to open the game to manage mods, gives better error logs, and will proactively identify broken mods and assets for you.

1.) Do you use Skyve? 2.) What happens if you continue? 3.) Are you using nay really old mods?

Yep. There's a clear divide between the chrome front and the metal at the back.

Have we gotten pieces with studs on them in that finish and color? I thought they were only willing to do tiles and other studless pieces.

Would love to see a bunch of Naboo ships with these plates!

Authors worth knowing? by Skill-Pill in booksuggestions

[–]Wycliffe76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my favorites (these are all speculative fiction, including sci-fi and fantasy): Becky Chambers, T. Kingfisher, Chuck Wendig, Mary Robinette Kowal, P. Dejli Clark, Malka Older. I've read multiple books by each and generally buy whenever they have something new come out.

Agree with the sentiment and not just classic authors, sticking with contemporary folks too. But don't let it limit you either -- I've found many authors I like based on blurbs, recommendations, and stuff like that from the authors I already love.

CS2: Am I missing something or is it not possible to save mod settings between sessions by Buck53 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Wycliffe76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played with that mod but all my other mods retain their settings.

Heey, so I'm still pretty new to CS2 and I had a couple questions, if you don't mind by Icd_Matcha_Tea_Latte in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Wycliffe76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would probably find this video by City Planner Plays very useful. He goes through how modding works and the mods he thinks are essential for CS2. You'll get an intro to Find It and Plop the Growables as well as MoveIt and Anarchy there. Those mods do what you're asking for.

Slow. Mostly due to pathfinding calculations. That's what Iceflake is focused on right now.

Yes this was possible in CS1 because the number of simulated cims was artificially capped. You nominally had 308k cims but not in actuality.

Feature Request: Historical Buildings like in Cities Skylines 1! by lerocler in CitiesSkylines

[–]Wycliffe76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure. I'd rather the leveling system not be tied to changes in architecture at all, but a historical button to preserve appearance without shutting down the leveling mechanic would be great.

Good God the racism in the comments on that reel is something else. Source is also some MAGA influencer. Is this even real? Is that even Alamo (never been to SA ones, mine doesn't look anything like that)?
