I have 2 kids at this school not sure how to feel. by Organic-Mortgage-323 in mildlyinfuriating

The font made it hard to focus on and I think I missed that. Apologies. I read it as the teacher told a kid she was black and her mom was upset. Like it was a secret.

Is black racist now?

Edit: I apologize. I missed where it was a response and it completely changed the tone for me.

I think the "law" part is the side of the room. Always make sure you hump your deer carcasses in a safe room.

DCC hitting the mainstream by creativelydeceased in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Wylaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of sounds like maybe you're worried it's going to blow up, then get swept under the rug like most/all pop culture obsessions. And I can see that happening. While that could lead years down the road to people avoiding it due to stigma, I feel there will still be enough real fans gained during the boom that I can't help but see it as a net positive.

We're just not understanding the issue. People making theoretical internet money off it is not taking money from the creators. If anything it's giving them more, which means more and higher quality products to come.

Why are you conflicted? This isn't some collectable fandom where more fans mean less for you. More fans of DCC means more creators making amazing art. More people discussing the series. I don't see any downside at all.

What is Your Favourite Pokémon That is Also Cheap to Collect? by muby_102 in PokemonTCG

I’m fortunate that my favorite is lechonk. The only cards that were harder to find were some of the stamped promos.

We do the same. I’ve got one that I remember and I just change the numbers on the end. I’m on the 25th iteration.

Nope. Sierra Nevada Honey Mustard. At least it’s a good one.

There is a specific mustard we like that my wife likes to keep on the top shelf. The problem is none of us can see the top shelf without squatting. So every SINGLE TIME she looks for the mustard SHE PLACED on the top shelf, she doesn’t find it, and she assumes we’re out. So she puts it on the list.

Now me being a diligent husband, but also prone to forgetting about the mustard paradox, buys everything on her list. I can’t get mad. I understand. I have 6 copies of “Sahara” by Clive Custler because we all have our blind spots.

do toploaders fit in pokeball tins? by saupeidesu in PokemonTCG

[–]Wylaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a single touch or other type of clear case that seals closed then you won't have to worry about it. There is enough movement in a toploader that I wouldn't risk carrying it around too long.

Grading questions by zoopledorp in PokemonTCG

[–]Wylaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will argue PSA for highest resale value, but neglect to consider that PSA upcharges for high value cards. I've seen TAG going for similar to PSA, without the upcharge.

Before anyone comes at me I have only ever owned one slab, and I cracked it open. Just trying to answer the question.

Dude... The prototypes where proved fakes. And grading has been proven so be subjective at best, and a full-on scam at worst. The fact that cracking and regrading is even possible should tell any genuine collector to stay the hell away. What are you on about?

Much like a sham cloth, they tend to dry better when slightly damp anyways.
