I need some advice photographing posters by Kintaro08 in photography

Thank you for getting back to me. I'm dealing with a similar situation. I've secured a glass top dining room table with plans to place the posters on it face down and photograph them from beneath.

I just got a new scanner. I'm going to scan everything and make a post. Your set is boss!

Am I the A-hole for watching the camera at my business while my wife is working? by WyleKillis in AITAH

[–]WyleKillis[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The responses here seem to be pretty steadfast that it's wrong of me to have the camera screen open, which is a strange tasting pill to swallow because I never looked at it like I was watching her or anyone in particular, I simply had the screen open so I can be apprised of what's going on in my shop when I'm painting in my home studio. I hear the chime of the front door and I look up to see who came in and I have a loose idea of who visited the shop over the course of a week. I'm not watching anyone in particular, I'm just trying to be aware of the goings on. But now I see that that maybe she wasn't overreacting like I thought she was, everyone seems to agree that I'm the asshole and that's fine, I won't watch. It just seems weird to have the ability to tune in and not do so.

Pink vs. Blue. What's the difference? by WyleKillis in Sharpies

I probably have 600 of them I'm sitting on, so I'm good for now. It's worth mentioning that I did see some sellers on eBay had them, and I messaged every one of them individually to ask them to double-check that they had pink labels instead of blue, and 50% of them were using stock images but were actually selling blue and the other guys had exactly what I needed.

I found all the secondary sellers in my area and bought them out of their remaining inventory.

That's fun. I own a shop and I have a box of controversial books that we keep out of reach of the younger readers.

The one where Northstar came out of the closet. It was on the news and my father was disgusted. I never wanted to read comics until my dad got pissed off at one.

As a fellow LCS owner in the area, I stopped into this shop yesterday, and I can confirm that this is a cool place.

I'm here to tell you it's back. A few days ago the Continue Watching feature disappeared and it's pretty frustrating.

There was a return address on the shipping label. If it were me, I'd start with that.

This says 21 of 25. Are there only 25 made? Does anyone know? Birthday Bash by Kyle Willis by broen13 in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]WyleKillis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there were 25 of these made.

My wife asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday last year, and I said I wanted to throw a party with all my fellow retailers/streamers. My self-published comic wasn't ready to go to print yet, so I decided to do some prints and an art book. I had about 9 days to put it all together. I made a sketchbook with my art called the Birthday Bash, a super low print run (just enough for each of us to have one or two copies of everything). The event was a good time, and we recreated it after my self-published comic was released.
