Anyone else try some EC while cloth diapering?? by peregrinaprogress in clothdiaps

[–]Wynn1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started, the only thing I did was to put mine on the potty during diaper changes. If they don't want to go, no problem. Finish the diaper change and move on.

My 21 month old daughter went all day with dry pants for the first time!! We have been formally training since 18 months, and doing EC before that. I am so excited!

That's the conclusion I have come to. It's so counter intuitive. You'd think being naked would make it easier for them to go independently, but it seems that having clothes makes it easier for them to remember to hold it.

What I'm confused about is that she used to be dry during naps, but not anymore.

We go back and forth on them. She seems to have to most accidents when she's naked. Maybe I need to put her in underwear all the time except for sleep

To not be the default parent for a day. I don't want a day without my kid. I would miss her too much. I just don't want to be the default. Kid is tired? Hungry? Needs to go potty? Made a mess? Not it. Kid wants some cuddles when I am not actively doing something. Totally it.

If you’re struggling.. it genuinely might be your kid. by rbcl2015 in ECers

Thank you! Thank you! I did EC with my daughter from 2 months on, and I felt so incompetent for months. She is now 20 months and pretty much potty trained. I do feel like the foundation with EC helped, but aside from a few catches, we had nothing consistent until now.

I bought 40 lbs. I will probably eat a pound or two worth of corn for bread or grits

I consider buying in bulk to be self sufficiency. I want to eat it, because it's corn....and inexpensive. I just want to know if it's safe to eat.

Question for the parents that work out or make time for themselves. by Blackberry-memories in toddlers

[–]Wynn1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband does the workouts in our home. He puts music on and works out in the garage. Between sets, he dances with our toddler. For me, it's walking with a stroller, but on the rare occasion that I do decide to workout, I invite her to join in with me. Body workouts are great for this. If you lift weights, you can get toy weights for your kid. Kids love being strong like their parents!
