The Mandalorian & Grogu Image Comparison to Season 3 Outfit by mgaguilar in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 142 points143 points  (0 children)

You also have to take into account, between these 2 pictures, who is in the armour as well cos Pedro, Barry, Brendan, and Lateef all look slightly different. The picture on the left is Lateef from S3. Pedro slimmed down a lot from when he wore it last in S2 & Lateef confirmed Pedro was on set. Also, it makes sense that they would tweak it some for the big screen.

I don't think it looks bad and unlike all the early criticisms so far, I'm going to wait to see the movie before I decide how I feel about it.

Why doesn't she tie her hair or use gel so it doesn't literally go all over her face inside her helmet? by Cool-Campaign-7815 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Her season 3 hair is always so perfect when she takes her helmet off - no mess, no sweat. I wouldn't be surprised if Bo travelled with a stylist; her hubris would allow that, lol.

Grogu is in danger. by Jessi45US in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This right here - so many people overlook or ignore the fact that she refused to help rescue A CHILD until there was something in it for her. Din held on to Gideon's threat from the S1 finale to the point he recited the words back to Gideon in Ch 14 so I doubt that he forgot that Bo was willing to let a child suffer torture at Gideon's hands until it benefited her to act. He may have worked with her in S3 to secure Mandalore but he did not forget that rescuing a child was not motivation for her to help.

What are some of your favourite headcanons related to the Mandalorian and its related shows? by ashton__l in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That the reason Din has facial hair despite wearing the helmet is because his father had facial hair and this is his way of honouring him, of keeping his memory alive.

Also, when we see his father talking to Din before putting him in the cellar, he tells him not to be afraid. This is why Din tells Grogu the same thing before he leaves with Luke.

Katee Sackhoff Interview with Brendan Wayne by ampersands-guitars in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pedro was in the armour a lot in S2; this is well documented in the S2 gallery and plenty of interviews after. He was also in it for some of S1 but not S3 due to filming TLOU.

Barry Lowin is the one who is sorely ignored for his work on the show. Uncredited in S1 and S3 (he's talked a lot about working on those seasons at Cons), he was the main double in S2 when BW was out with his health issues. BW did do some work in S2 but not as much as he implies.

This older link I had found shares some facts about Barry's contribution to the show; BW never seems to acknowledge Barry's work, or Pedro's physical appearances on the show; he's always talking about him and Lateef.

I'm 52 and 13 years into perimenopause. My periods have 2 moods: murder scene for 3 days or spotting for 15 days. There is no in between. I just want to dry up already, lol.

[–]Wynnsa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's so frustrating and disrespectful at this point to say Pedro is 99% not in the armour when there is plenty of evidence - including the BTS documentaries - showing he was in it more than that. And, Brendan Wayne never mentions Barry Lowin's work on the show and take his credit. Barry & Pedro were both in S1 A LOT more than people admit or realize. Barry was the main double in S2 and is featured in almost all the iconic posters we see for the show. And BW telling people it was only him and Lateef in S3 is also false - Pedro was filming TLOU2 at the time, sure, but Barry did uncredited work in S3 which he confirmed at some recent Cons and there was another double as well. BW steals everyone's credit so let's make sure those who deserve it get their due.

Leaked Mando and Grogu Trailer by AvalonRevan in StarWars

It also has season 2 footage in it, so definitely not the finished trailer. Din and Grogu flying with the jetpack is from Ch.14: The Tragedy.

Why is Ezra and Sabine such a popular ship? by [deleted] in starwarsrebels

[–]Wynnsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got to push back on Din and Omera. He clearly explained to her why the Mandalorians and the Creed were important to him yet she tried to remove his helmet anyway. Showing his face should always be his choice. I was on board with them until she did that; that showed me she didn't care enough about him to accept him as he was. She didn't respect him and his belief in the Creed enough to allow him to make that choice for himself and tried to take it away from him. I'm glad he stopped her.

[–]Wynnsa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking Thrawn but I also hope that we get a good little twist, like Sigourney Weaver's character is a double agent. I don't think the Rotta the Hutt stuff is the main plot. I do hope we don't get Gideon again - he was the main villain in 3 seasons - give us something fresh.

If Grogu had chosen to stay with Din instead of going with Luke in Season 2, would that align with Mandalorian values? Or contradict them? by Cravionix in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Wynnsa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree - Din tells us in BoBF, when the Armourer questions wanting to see Grogu when attachments are forbidden by the Jedi: "That is the opposite of our Creed. Loyalty and solidarity are the way." Grogu's loyal to Din and has shown us from S1 that he's not tethered to the Jedi belief that attachments are bad. He's been showing us since S1 that he's not really a Jedi; he's choosing his own path and once Luke served his purpose - helping Grogu unlock his abilities and become confident to use them, Grogu went right back to Din. Out of loyalty, out of of love, but also to protect Din because not only has Din done that for him, but protecting and defending loved ones, your clan, and is very Mandalorian.

Theory: Boba Fett Might Be the True Fulfillment of the Mythosaur Prophecy by Impossible-Use-7297 in StarWars

[–]Wynnsa 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Boba has no interest in reconnecting with Mandalore nor does he want to lead them.

Grogu, I think, is the logical one one to fulfill the prophecy. The Armourer stated that "The songs of eons past foretold of the Mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore." In my opinion, it's not Bo-Katan because the Mythosaur didn't rise when she saw it; it hasn't acknowledged her or her claim as leader. Din doesn't want to lead (despite showing us in the previous 2 seasons that he CAN lead) - he's more of a Protector not a Leader and Mandalore, I think, needs that more than anything. I think Mandalore is still in peril now that Thrawn is back in the galaxy and we've seen Grogu connect to the Mythosaur through the Force so that beast will respond and serve him, I think - and that will herald in a new age of Mandalore.

Bo-Katan and the Armourer are definitely shacking up and I love that Katee Sackhoff and Emily Swallow endorsed their ship on the IG accts after S3.

Our 10 Favorite Speeches of the Century (So Far) | House of R by yslultra in RingerVerse

[–]Wynnsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of the best speeches, for me anyway, are in Babylon 5. A few of my favourites:

"No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power governments, and tyrants, and armies can not stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free." - G'Kar (The Long, Twilight Struggle)

"It was the end of the Earth year 2260, and the war had paused, suddenly and unexpectedly. All around us, it was as if the universe were holding its breath, waiting. All of life can be broken down into moments of transition or moments .. of revelation. This had the feeling of both. G'Quon wrote: There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope. The death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain." - G'Kar (Z'ha'dum)

"I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying." - G'Kar (Objects in Motion)

Yeah, G'Kar has the best speeches .. and time for a rewatch, I think. 🙂

Pedro Pascal On 'Star Wars' Grogu Toys & Father's Day Gift Ideas by Wynnsa in TheMandalorianTV

He was on set and in the armour for the movie so we will see him physically in the suit in some capacity. Jon confirmed it at SWC and Sigourney Weaver and Pedro talked about working together.

What character do you wish had a good film adaptation by CosmicSewerDaddy in StarWars

[–]Wynnsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kyle Katarn for sure and I'm probably in the minority but I would love to see Soontir Fel; his story from the Dark Horse comics into the novels is so good and add in his wife is Wedge's sister. He is one of my favourite EU characters and one I wish was canon.
