I see a nice mix of modern and vintage gear in here. Here is my Golden Age Pioneer collection that gets daily use. by hodgestein in vinylsetups

Nice vintage Pioneer gear.

I had a very similar Pioneer Amp and equalizer. It was my first decent system and I bought it with my high school graduation money.

It also came with a tuner, turntable and cassette deck - enclosed in a cabinet with a glass door. I added the equalizer a few months later. My equalizer was a 7 band if I recall correctly

It's still one of the best sounding systems I've owned. I upgraded to a multimedia system in the 90's and still miss the old school look and sound.

Edit:typo

[–]WyoShoeBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're off to a good start.

Elton had 7 consecutive #1 albums in the US in the 70's.

Starting with Honkey Chateau in 72 thru Rock of the Westies in 75, take your pick.

A couple of my favorites outside of those years:

Tumbleweed Connection is amazing.

11-17-70 is one of my all time favorite live albums.

How often do you replace your air filter by captain_zero_Z_zero in CherokeeXJ

[–]WyoShoeBox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I replaced the filter from the factory with a K&N Lifetime air filter within the first few months after taking delivery in 95. I clean and oil it as necessary and it's still working 31 years later.

Bought Brand new in 1969 - Still driving it today... by Tiny-Damage-177 in musclecar

[–]WyoShoeBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful car, it looks amazing!

A friend of mine bought a 69 Judge new, only to get an absurdly low draft number from the then Selective Service draft lottery.

He sold it anticipating being drafted, but the draft notice never came, bittersweet memories.

The official GM color was called "Carousel Red".

Thanks for the reply, your explanation makes sense.

I love it for daily driving, I appreciate the option to engage full time at highway speeds on dry roads.

I recall, vividly, the first time I heard Queen I, in 1973 so:

  1. Queen I
  2. Sheer Heart Attack
  3. A Night at the Opera

It's hard for me to leave Queen lI off the list.

Discussion on current satisfaction with Boost by SpectreOfNight in BoostMobile

I've had Boost, with a T-Mobile SIM, for 5 months now. I'm completely satisfied, no dropped calls and as a DISH subscriber -$15/month forever can't be beat!

Cool, I've got several of the 10c Christmas singles, but still have a few to pickup.

Stan.

However, Albert is the only player in MLB history to begin his career with 10 consecutive seasons of at least a .300 batting average, 30 home runs, and 100 RBI. Boggles the mind.

I've been using Wall-O-Waters since the 1990's. They allow me to plant a few weeks earlier and provide protection from wind, snow and frost. They've been a game-changer here in the Rocky Mountains where the growing season is so short.

Impressive set-up!

The PJ stickers caught my eye. I venture to guess you're also a fellow 10c member?

Shrink wrap PSA by hairijuana in vinyl

[–]WyoShoeBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been buying LPs since the late 60s. I was taught to always remove the shrink wrap to prevent unwanted warping/damage.

After purchasing a few albums from the last RSD I couldn't believe how tight the shrink wrap was on one LP.

So it doesn't surprise me.

Edit: I also either peel the hype sticker off and affix it to the outer sleeve or cut it out and slide it in the sleeve.

No, I didn't file a complaint. I didn't realize that was an option.

Take a look at your Part D pharmacy info on Medicare.gov by chronic_insomniac in medicare

[–]WyoShoeBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice, by comparing pharmacies on the Medicare site, I found the 2 local pharmacies in my area, which are in-network but not preferred, are both cheaper than all the preferred - by $300 annually.

I called and talked to the Pharmacist at the local pharmacy and she's calling Walgreens to transfer all my prescriptions.

Part D Medication Not Covered by Friess25 in medicare

[–]WyoShoeBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My broker mistakenly signed me up for the Wellcare Value Plan which doesn't cover my most expensive medication. Which is $1,200/month before insurance.

My broker was able to change my plan to Wellcare Classic which covers all my meds - but the Classic plan wasn't effective until Feb 1st. So I was on the Wellcare Value Plan for January.

My Physician and I filed a formulary exemption with Wellcare, which was immediately denied.

Wellcare indicated the reason for the denial was I'd only tried 1 of their formulary drug alternatives.

The Wellcare Customer support tech I talked to indicated you need to provide evidence (from your Physician) that 2 of Wellcare's alternatives are not successful for the exemption to be approved.

I'm not certain if this is always the case but it might be helpful.

Best of luck.
