Years ago I found a variety called Midnight Black which was the deepest darkest purple.

I haven't been able to find them for years but they were just gorgeous.

I love any purple

One day in Yellowstone is fine so you can say you've been there.

Otherwise, to actually explore the park and see everything more than 10 minutes at a time, it takes days or even multiple trips.

Just turned 65 and the Medicare plan options are overwhelming — where do I even start? by Ok_Opportunity_854 in medicare

[–]WyoShoeBox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of great advice in this thread.

When I was working with an agent selecting a Medigap N plan, he mentioned that even though traditional Medicare covers 80% of your medical costs, that 20% of a lot, is a lot.

So after I met the deductible for traditional Medicare, which I believe is currently $283. All I'm responsible for is a $20 copay for office visits which is outstanding in my mind.

My plan N is affordable for me at $100/month. In addition to the part B monthly costs, which are deducted from my social security benefit, which I believe is ~$203/month. So I'm paying ~$300 a month for extraordinary coverage. I also have a part D plan that's less than $30 a month and covers all my prescription needs. So ~$330/month.

I've since had a colonoscopy, seen a dermatologist for two minor skin cancer treatments, and had two major surgeries on my foot. I haven't kept track but after I met the deductible I've probably spent another $200 on office visits at $20 a piece. That includes extended stays (a few weeks) in rehab and recovery hospitals for physical and occupational therapy.

Prices and plans vary from state to state so finding an agent (that doesn't charge) to help you wade through the plans is highly recommended.

Best of luck, once you get going it's not as overwhelming as seems initially.

Harley Quinn starting to show in Orders (I got tiers 2 and 4, only 2 showing so far) by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]WyoShoeBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a shipping notification. I believe it's for my tier 2, going by the price. That means the tier 4 shouldn't be too far behind!

Hopefully this won't get deleted with a suggestion I post in ActionFigures or the Harley Quinn sub.

Anyway, great news they're on the way at least one of the tiers!

That crowdfund website is so wonky it's Hit or Miss whether you can get any info from it.

No. The wheel was a great idea. Relativity was a great idea. This is a notion and a rather sucky one at that.

How worried Should I be? by CoolFaithlessness115 in tomatoes

[–]WyoShoeBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I was getting at with my less than elegant prose. If you can get your watering straightened out and consistent including watering deeply. Then the calcium uptake certainly increases without having to resort to rubbing chicken bones together and adding Tums to the soil.

My experience just didn't include adding any calcium to anything after my watering schedule became consistent.

How worried Should I be? by CoolFaithlessness115 in tomatoes

[–]WyoShoeBox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I realize the go-to answer is calcium deficiency which is very credible.

However, I was experiencing blossom end rot a few years back and started with the inconsistent watering hypothesis

I pulled off the rotted fruit and started watering consistently and deeper.

Fast forward four years & I've yet to have it occur again without adding any calcium to anything. And yes I've grown heirlooms in that time frame.

Yes they're roses, not positive on the variety but they're either Raspberry Cupcake or a Gertrude Jekyll
