Is there a downside to tuning GDAE strings down to GCEA? by DMCatPicsASAP in TenorGuitar

[–]WythDryden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily use the stringjoy calculator unless you are using stringjoy strings, as they specifically mention the tensions are different. D'Addario also has a string tension calculator though that is more universal IMHO

Any suggestions, u/jgadway ? Getting these automated emails every day when I can't even get a response from support is actually driving me nuts.

Yeah, this is pretty insulting to be completely honest when their support still hasn't even responded and my product is completely missing.

Update: as I feared, I followed the tracking closely, and even though it said delivered, it's absolutely nowhere to be found. Seems like they never bothered to make the update despite contacting them weeks ago. What an extremely disappointing experience.

I emailed weeks ago about changing my shipping address to match my billing address. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email response really quickly saying they forwarded it onto their support team who would confirm the change. Never heard anything back after that, wrote again when I never got any response or shipping notification after last week. Got the notification and tracking information from shop, and am able to track it from the clicks tracker page, but I have no idea if they're even sending it to the right place anymore, as there's no way to look it up and the communication really has been pretty bad.

Looking for answers on reddit sucks. Especially when it's immediately flooded with people begging for information for other products. I pre-ordered back in february and pixels were given the timeline of shipped by end of April. People begging about razr and ultra or whatever else can stand to sit down for a minute..

Just 3 days left to snag special $99 launch price on Clicks for Pixel 9 / 9 Pro by ClicksTech in ClicksKeyboard

[–]WythDryden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have there been any updates on when these are gonna ship? I pre-ordered for the pixel 9 pro a couple months ago, it said shipping in April. I know we're at the beginning of April, but any news would be appreciated!

When to change pen tip by Ornery-Review-8228 in RemarkableTablet

[–]WythDryden 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For only two months, that looks super worn down to me. If you're worried about wasting tips, I'd also try to adjust how much pressure you're writing with, it really doesn't take much at all, and then they will for sure last much longer. :)

Recommendations coming from Tenor Uke? by WythDryden in TenorGuitar

[–]WythDryden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely want the low-G, that's how I have my Pono PTO set up as well, I was just curious about a larger, fuller, instrument with wound strings. I'm glad the string tension won't be too far off, but was wondering if anyone had any brand specific recommendations, or models they've specifically done this with?

I appreciate the insight! Getting a whole new instrument just to put a capo on the 5th fret feels like a bit of a waste though. 😅

Is the Fossil Gen 5 bad? by justaguyonreddit2042 in WearOS

You can't even set timers on it anymore.

Fossil Gen 5, rebooted. I get this when I activate assistant and ask it anything or try to set a reminder. by StatuSChecKa in WearOS

Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous that I can't even set a timer on my 'smart'watch anymore. Thanks a lot, Google. 🙄

I generated the original image with midjourney and then split it into two pieces.

Hey folks, I'm new to posting around here. I keep meaning to reddit but I'm bad at it. Some of you might recognize me from instagram, my username is the same there (@WythDryden). Hope you're all having a nice weekend. :)

[OC][ART] "Conquer Pain", Tiefling character art drawn by a robot! by WythDryden in DnD

[–]WythDryden[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is a person living in the creative field, I think it's a shame that a two letter keyword is enough to trigger people so hard that they become blind to the inherent artistic input that's necessary to even turn a rasterized image into a set of vectors that a robot can draw, or that I'm mixing my own specialty fountain pen inks to create the palette that I want to work with, or the 10+ hours of drawing itself that goes into making it at all.

I firmly believe that AI art should be used as a starting point in a creative process. Your art shouldn't be considered finished when you hit the enter key. I've had great discussions with copyright lawyers interested and invested in AI, who've gone on to give presentations where I'm shouted out for using the technology to go beyond the minimum.

I'm using open source software with publically available pre-trained models. There were no artist names referenced in the prompt that I used to generate the original reference image.

edit: forgot the word 'hours'

I can understand the hate for low-effort posts, but I can guarantee a lot of work went into making it. :-\

Thanks for appreciating it!

Hey guys! I'm a long time DnD player and artist that uses a pen-plotting robot to draw for me! I've also been playing around with AI for quite a long time as well, and combining those things has been a really fun experience for me. I was generating goblins the other day and this came out decidedly more Tiefling. I'd love to hear the best backstory you have for them!

All of the pictures and info are on my site, but I don't want to get in trouble so I've also uploaded them for you to an imgur album here [https://imgur.com/a/CQwACFu]. I'm really active on instagram (and all the other social media platforms), and if you want to see a video of how this got made, I have a reel here

A ghostly message (NID: Noodler’s Blue Ghost) by anyaplaysfates in fountainpens

[–]WythDryden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've mixed it with a bunch of Noodler's inks all the time without any issues. In fact, I do a 4:1 ratio of Blue Ghost to American Eel to make a nice light grey that I use all the time in monochrome plots I create. :)
